Season 22 – First Elimination Final between The Sin City Swamprats and The Dragons FFC at Underground Stadium
V
Sin City Swamprats
WLLWW
The Rats came so so close to a top 4 finish. Fortunately for this author’s sanity it didn’t eventuate. The only place the Swamprats have been more prolific than the stat sheet is the match threads. This game appears to be no different and the page count will no doubt push 50. The Rats have put together an admirable season and is Blacky’s darkhorse for the premiership
The Dragons FFC
LWLLW
Some punters (Sterge) would try to detract from the Dragons’ finals push due to controversial circumstances. The fact remains that at the end of the day the Dragons had a better record. Dragons would love to see Millky name himself in the ruck this week, so that Hate has an opportunity to show why he a 2x All SFA ruckman
Last time they met
Season 22 – Round 11
DRAW!
SCS 19.7.121
DRA 19.7.121
Sin City played in their second draw of the season, and Sam_Malone melted like an ice cream on a hot summer’s day. The Dragons clawed back a six goal deficit at the long break to storm home and share the points. Ant Bear, miggs and Gray Day all broke the 100 post mark.
Dragons
Best: Determinant, cammo6556, roo2macca, Sam_Malone
Goals: Sam_Malone 5, Only Forward 3, Determinant 3, Spanna_ 2
Swamprats
Best: Quadzilla, Far Kern, Ant Bear, Gray Day
Goals: Gray Day 5, Millky95 3, Sublime 2, sportsmaniac 2
Players to watch
Ant Bear – the Mobbs Medal fancy has been prolific all year leading all players in Tackles, Dream Team and Exie, while also being top 10 in disposals. Will be one to watch come Sunday.
Gray Day – the AlfAndrews medallist kicked 5 goals in the last quarter on Sunday to secure the AA. Averaging 4.8 goals per game he will be sure to play an important role in this cut throat final. A sure fire All SFA.
cammo6556 – one of the most damaging midfielders in the game. Averages over 21 touches a game (good for top 10) but more importantly impacts the scoreboard. Dragons will need a big game from him if they are to secure a semi final.
VSTone – quietly putting together an impressive rookie campaign, averaging over 20 disposals a game. A lot of pressure to put on a youngster, but has handled the pressure so far
Blacky’s Tip
Predicting the Rats and Dragons to play in 35 consecutive draws until the winner is decided by Roshambo. Rats eventual winners due to Millky's balls having not yet decended from his abdomen.
Captains please have your team sheets in by 11.59pm Melbourne time Thurs
