WHO?
Sin City Swamprats vs West Coast Wonders
WHAT?
These two sides will face off in a cut throat semi-final. The winner of this game will advance to the Preliminary Final and face the Mount Buller Demons for a spot in the Grand Final.. The loser, will be planning Mad Monday celebrations as well as looking toward Season 29. This is a big game folks, Match of the Round status. Will the Rats advance and create a rematch of the S27 prelim? Or will they bundle out in Straight Sets? Can the Wonders back up their first final win in seasons? Or was it just an aberration?
WHEN?
Somewhere between the 15th hour and the 18th hour on the first day of Summer.
WHERE?
The Wonders will have to brave the awful stench of the Swamprats home ground, The Sewerage Farm aka The Underground Stadium.
WHY?
The Swamprats couldn’t find their mojo against the Hawks. They chased their plague infected tails all day, not once looking as though they would stage a come back. They lost by a comfortable 32 points. Are the Rats burnt out after a strong premiership defense during the home and away season? Or did they want to replicate the same path they took to last seasons flag?
The Wonders prevailed over the Bears in what was a close encounter until half time. The Wonders then outplayed the Bears in the second half, emerging victors by a comfortable 25 points. Can they grind out a win against a stronger outfit? Or will they bow old like the Wonders we all know?
