WHO?
The Fighting Furies vs Dragons FFC
WHAT?
The two sides face off in a cut throat semi-final. The winner of this game will advance to the preliminary final where they will face the East Side Hawks for a spot in the Grand Finals. The loser, will be planning Mad Monday celebrations, as well as looking toward Season 29. Can the Dragons back up their strong win and give themselves a chance at making the Grand Final in AceAndy ‘s first season as captain? Will the Furies make up for their choke last week, and face off against the Hawks in a S26 Preliminary Final rematch?
WHEN?
Somewhere between the 15th hour and the 18th hour on the first day of Summer.
WHERE?
After conquering the Golden Throne, the Dragons now have to travel to the Furies home at rfctigerarmy’s Hippodrone.
WHY?
After a close first half, the Furies had the Demons measure for most of the second half. At first, they seemed like certain winners. However, one late brucetiki goal later and suddenly they were forced into the next week. They have a chance to make up for their dreadful choke, can they do it?
The Dragons had the Royals number for ¾ of the Elimination clash last week before the Royals evened the playing field, going into 3QT leading by a single point. At first, it was looking like a close final quarter. Noobz0r kicked a goal for the Royals, but after that it was all Dragon dominance. They booted 10 goals for the quarter, thrashing the Royals by 51 points.
Who should I be looking out for this match?
Furies:
Hate
The veteran fought well in the Furies choke against the Demons. He had 22 disposals, laid 8 tackles and booted 1 goal.
The Half Back
4 goals isn’t a bad effort for someone who has been missing for the entire season.
Dragons:
gym4life , Ljp86 & Knifey Spoony
This trio of forwards tore the Royals defence a new one, booting 16 goals between them. They will be a force to be reckoned with coming up against the Furies backline.
Blaze Storm
The ex-captain dominated with current co captain Hatchy1992 in the midfield, bursting through the packs to give the forwards the opportunities they needed to dominate. He ended with a terrific 28 disposal, 5 marks and 2 goal game.
What are ND’s predictions for this match?
- This won’t really be a Furies vs Dragons match thread. It’ll be a Bomber spam fest + Furies in-fighting fest with the occasional post from AceAndy .
- Hatchy1992 will actually show up.
- Ned_Flanders ers will piss off and drive out yet another Fury.
