This is slightly more familiar to me…Meh, I think we're OK. Should win a few this year and see some kids get a game or two. There's a couple of young kids in excited to see more of.
I one day dream we will see similar humility from a Richmond, I guess if I m going hope for miracles, maybe world peace is more admirable. This ‘Geelong supporter bringing levity to his team’s credentials’ is foreign to me, yet heartwarming.
Oh you poor darling - we were shit for 35 years of my life and we get to have our day.I one day dream we will see similar humility from a Richmond, I guess if I m going hope for miracles, maybe world peace is more admirable.

They are certainly making up for it.Oh you poor darling - we were sh*t for 35 years of my life and we get to have our day.
If you tell me you wouldn’t do it too you’d be a liar. They are certainly making up for it.
Doesn't say much for the comp when a bunch of geriatrics makes a prelim.Geelongs list is older than the Roys
I'm 43 and an avid follower of all sports. If you tell me you wouldn’t do it too you’d be a liar.
I've also only had 2x 2s. I'm blessed with charm and good looks so have generally picked up in the 7-9 range.I ve only got 2 2's.
One yesterday
You should have seen the Bombers after Seasons 23-24 mate. beez could confirm.I'm 43 and an avid follower of all sports.
I've never seen a group of fans be this much hard work after winning ever
Other teams have been sh*t and won without the Richmond carry on. (Obviously not all fans)
It's basically the same as my attitude circa 2010.If you tell me you wouldn’t do it too you’d be a liar.

I was looking at some stats today and was very surprised you played so many games at the Bombers.I was 99% absent for those two seasons. Easiest two premierships I ever won.
And I think if I were active at that time my head would have exploded with rage.
And four wooden spoons.Okay, SFA banter off for a sec
We were not just bad. For 35 years we only made finals a few times. We nearly went broke twice, we faced the threat of deregistration once, and we had a president who wanted to move to the GC.
Add to that the worst recruiting, drafting, and development in the league for the better part of 25 years.
Most of us witnessed only failures, and epic ones at that for most of our lives.
After that drought, it's about enjoying every moment if it, because we.know there is no guarantee of success the next year (or decade for that matter)
Absolutely agree with enjoyment after tough times.Okay, SFA banter off for a sec

I support the Tigers in the NRL, we were merged and won a comp from no where I get that.
There is a confrontational element in the Richmond fanbase in this success that is virtually unique.
I previously had a soft spot for the Tigers even after they pumped us , that has faded, I actively cheered against them last year.

I think the Gumbies from the Sweet FA are bad.Richmond has always had a very passionate and fanatical supporter base. People forgot we were the most hated side in the vfl in the 70s.
Our motto isn't "eat em alive" because we want a good contest
ClarkeM recruited me to the Wonders coz we knew each other from the GD board. But I didn't get into it and was just a name on a list for a couple of seasons. I then came back a couple of seasons later, posted in the sign up thread, loopy_cam recruited me to the Bombers and the rest is history. I can't remember exactly how many games I've played overall but I reckon I've been active (say 10+ posts per match across a season) for 85% of matches I've played.I was looking at some stats today and was very surprised you played so many games at the Bombers.
I also didn't recall that you debuted for the Wonders - is that right?

Were they aggressive games, mate? Why the blood?I've been here three bloody games. I'm not that good at turning them evil yet.
