Actually insane that the unity to sack Ken Hinkley is making this an internet folklore.

any chance of a link this time? trying to find something specific on Reddit is like using primitive search engines in the mid 90’s.

Read the following from a Port supporter on Facebook....

Good sources within the club are now freely providing details on Hinkley's relentless tactics to silence critics. Schofield left the club on good sources based on Ken's pig headed views resulting in an altercation night of preliminary. Schofield walked that night. This was all visible to players who admired Schofield. Josh Carr left under similar circumstances. Ken is known to contact past players and media personnel to control messaging. So this is the leader supporters want from our club? He provides this fake persona that bleeds port. It's so far from the truth. This guy needs to be exited immediately.

Clubs' in complete shambles. Did lol at ''Hinkley's relentless tactics''. only tactic he's got is to be a spiteful grub. Be gone, Ken, you tactless oaf.

I love this bloke.

He started the fight.

Got dog piled.

Blames everyone else.

Says we're tearing the fan base apart - which is factually incorrect, in fact it is galvanising the staunchest of supporters together.
That bloke is clearly a few screws loose. He started that entire shit fight then bailed as soon as he was found out as a moron.

I don't think Ken cares about winning, but he does love coin, and with the low expectations of the powers that be at the club, we're the easiest path to that for him right now. Once he's finally gone, that'll be Gold Coast for 4-5 years, and then he'll never coach at AFL level again. That a man whose greatest coaching achievement is an ammos premiership has been able to continue this long as an AFL coach is impressive in a painful kind of way.
Low expectations? Don’t they want 3 premierships by 2025? Or do they just make shit up? are we meant to pretend that they didn’t say that now?

I just don't understand why Kern doesn't come under a lot more heat from the influential media in Melbourne.

David Teague (and he had to go) was under massive pressure from the media here in his final 6 months on the job, and he was only coach for 2 and a bit years.

Kern has been at Port for over 10 years, and yet still is barely a mention of the coaching hot seat here (Ratts was on it until the last 2 weeks)

This is part of your (PAFC's) problem

If Kinkley was a coach of a Vic club, I am almost certain he would have been gone years ago.

I think he defintley will be gone before round 10, if your current form continues, if not, I think a potential spill of the Board is required.

Mind you, I have a feeling that The Pear will pull off a miracle win against the Dees, and Kern will be safe again for a while.

Feels like as supporters, you guys are in a really suckass position.

I think you should still go to games and buy memberships and support the club instead of Ken Barbie Coach.
Port is exactly where Victoria and the media wants them to be, why would they risk changing that?

Stinkster out, Schofield in. Any player that has a problem with that can leave too, I’m sure it’s no big loss anyway

This guy wasted about 15 minutes of a Premier League game tying himself to a goal post.

Does anyone know if he does AFL games, and is willing to wear a #sackhinkley shirt?

Dude achieved SFA though, except delaying a game and pissing off 50,000 people, what a knob

I've actually been going quite hard this week on social media. I wouldn't usually engage with these people but they need to be made to defend their opinion so they stop parroting it.

Not being abusive or rude, but just making people reflect on their posts and defend their pro-Hinkley arguments. Posting the imminent VFL/AFL record. Posting that he's not good at any facet of coaching (strategy, motivation, gameday coaching). Arguing with people who say "youse aren't real supporters go and support someone else" by telling them that i've been showing up for 30 years and that sometimes support means holding the club to account. Talking a lot about accountability and how the 150th documentary shows that when we were a truly great club, blunt criticism from supporters was part and parcel of playing for the club.

The pro-Hinkley people are a vocal minority at this point. Anyone who was at the Hawthorn game would be well aware of the feeling in the crowd of "oh ffs this shit again". The watercooler chats with workmates who are casual followers are all "yeah I was talking to my dad and we both agree he's gotta go".

Importantly, as finbarr and strapping tape posted a few pages ago, the players have visibly given up on him. The Hawthorn game was a full blown Sally Robbins effort in the 2nd half. We knew the Crows would come back at us, they aren't very good, and the players just wouldn't fight hard enough to get over the line. If you won't do what it takes to drag your side over the line from 4 goals up late against a bottom 4 side, you're treading water until a new coach shows up.

I think he'll actually play pretty defensively against Melbourne in the hope he can keep it close. It'll either be a game that isn't a blowout but we're never in the game, or we'll get absolutely pasted.

What can I say absolutely disappointing what Sam Mayes done was very very disappointing but he shouldn't get all the blame once again Port Adelaide choked and once again we just couldn't finish a team off kicking more behinds than goals is just not going to get it done

Why are pear supporter groups on Facebook always run by illiterate nuffies?
