I've been lining up for the footy bus after games for years, after many a loss too. But last night was different, every single person was saying what a disgrace that game was and that Hinkley has to go. Some of them may have been happy clappers before, but they certainly weren't last night.
Actually, I did hear one voice in the line up say "it wasn't the coach, it was the players", one lone voice.

He needs to go no matter what. These loudmouth types like Kennett, Eddie, John Elliott, that gold coast flog, etc are usually toxic old white men that serve a purpose for a year or two (e.g when we were drifting towards irrelevancy in 2010-12) in making some noise, but ultimately end up completely ruining the culture.

There's a reason clubs don't keep coaches for this long unless they're extraordinarily successful. It's not stable, it's stale. Everyone gets comfortable, there are no new ideas, there is no excitement, you don't get the feel of a new group of people working towards the goal. It's just the same people doing the same thing with a slow churn over the years. In essence, it just becomes like any other job, which is exactly how the atmosphere at the club looks like from the outside looking in.
