Well since you're comfortable taking the high road, how about you tell us who you are as well?

In regards to taking the high road i think asking a few simple questions in reply to (76 Gamer) thread about sacking Terry Wallace should have been asked by not only i but more importantly ALL Richmond Football Club supporters, dont you think?

All that was asked of this fellow poster was could he please back up his accusations of WHO, WHEN, WHERE, especially when he claimed that " he and others" had been "shouted down" very simple really dont you think?

I noticed you were questioning the validity of posters on here claiming to be other than what they are, and that if by some remote chance they are connected with RFC they should use their real names, seriously if say Greg Miller was a poster on here do you not think he would be inundated with PM's or even abuse for that matter not only from our supporters or even opposition supporters, lets face it he has a club to run.;)

Cheers.

Now I know who leaked my game plan to the Bulldogs in Rd 1. I'll see to it that you're picking up dog turds off Punt Rd oval for the rest of the year 76 Gamer.

Yours truly,

Terry (the coach, just in case anyone is wondering who I really am).

The difference between you and 76er is that its largely doubtful he has anything to do with the club. You on the other hand worry me.

No-one with any sense would take 76er seriously, and I'd expect someone who actually does work for the club to know much better.

Guys, you're missing the point.

It doesn't matter who I am, what matters is what I'm saying - I reckon we're good enough to win 8-10 games this season, most of you reckon we're not and are happy for us to finish 14th.

Talk about not seeing the forest ...

I think that is because most of us see the bigger picture .

It`s not so much about winning 8-10 games this year , it is about achieving sustained success over long period .

We don`t expect Deledio to come in and start winning Brownlows in his second year ... We`re not expecting the likes of Hughes and JON to come straight in this year and make immediate impacts . We are being patient with the likes of Polo and Meyer . We realise that some of our senior players are struggling .

LMAO @ you not seeing the forest for the trees

I pretty much agree with pretty much all you say, ID, I just don't think it takes as long as you do to rebuild a club from bottom to contender. Five years is plenty of time - you should be visible results in the first year, you should be finals regular in year three or four, and you should be looking to win a premiership in five or six years.

How many players do you want to turn over each year? Even if we draft 5 a year you can pretty much write off 2 or 3 of them ever playing regular games.

If you ask me after 4 years (given the state our list was in when Frawley left) we can hope for regular finals appearances.

This is why Essendon can keep doing well as they always have a core of good and/or experienced players. We had a core of flawed players for one reason or another.

Our list is getting rebuilt from scratch. That means some 'one step forward / two steps back' performances.

Do you still want to sack Wallace?

This is not correct.

We have been rebuilding the list since Miller joined the club. Johnson, Brown etc all arrived pre Wallace. Player recruitment (ie flying to London to sign Solomon) have been Miller's call not Frawley's.

The rebuilding started 2 seasons before Wallace joined us.

More reason why Wallace can bring success within his 5 year contract, not less reason

I do agree that our list was poor a few years ago due in large part to a drop in standard in some of our older players, poor draft decisions and young blokes taking time to step up. But I don't agree that it should be 'one step forward, two septs back'.

It should be one massive step backwards and constant improvement from there.

It wouldn't bother me if we were winless at the bottom of the ladder as long as we were developing kids and as long as we were fighting it out each week and getting better bit by bit. But we should be able to go from rock bottom to finals footy (maybe not premiers) within five years.

OK then, there's half a dozen of us having a chat about the current Richmond coach.

I reckon, for reasons outlined earlier, that Wallace is just another Frawley in a different t-shirt and and I'm predicting that for the next three or four years our results under Wallace will be no better than what we've endured over the past 25 years. Well, I don't know about you but I'm not prepared to accept that.

You blokes are pretty good with the insults, but can any of you give me three solid reasons why we should persevere with Wallace?

Come one, let's hear it.

1. He is on a five year contract and we should stick it out.

2. We are rebuilding, which means we are going to look ugly for a while.

3. I'm sick of us making knee-jerk reactions with our coaches. Time for solidarity please.

4. He has had sucess. We beat the premier and took the GF loser to two points last year, so hey.

5. We haven't lost to anyone that we expected to beat.

Is that enough?

You are a real tosser. This is what most people have been saying on here all along. Your line of thinking is that we should see improvement immediately - oh i apologise, after three fricking games. LMAO@how you have changed your tune. Aren't we seeing improvement already? We only have a few to await retirement and the rest are kids. Unfortunately, kids and ageing players may not win you the eight to ten games this year, but we will improve with the quality of kids coming through for the future. A future which will take more than one year and 3 games of a new coach.

And you and your mob of ******s want to destabilise this club over what? Did Terry talk rough rough with you once. Diddums, you stupid :D:D:D:D.

Must be Bryan Leayes......bliiiiind - still !

And it continues:

6. Do you really think it is a good idea to terminate a contract 26 games into a five year contract?

7. The team doesn't mind him, helps team unity to have one coach for once.

8. If we keep changing our coaches, no coach will want to coach us. Anyway, do you have any plausable thoughts on any real replacment?

9. Winning against Brisbane after making one of the longest trips in footy shows skill.

There is nine, how many do you want?

He's had one full year and I think we've seen enough of his second year to know that TW is just not in the supercoach class. It's obvious that he doesn't understand the game, why waste time with him? He's had his chance, get rid of him!

Haha you :D:D:D:Ding idiot. What do you think of him now ? Getting your tongue ready right ?

YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE WAN*ER

At least there's one bloke here with the mental capacity of argument! Much better than the rest of you neanderthal ratbags. Well done! Here are my responses to your comments.

1. He is on a five year contract and we should stick it out.
Stick it out regardless of performance? Like we did with Frawley? Yeah right.

2. We are rebuilding, which means we are going to look ugly for a while.
Coaches hide behind this rubbish all the time, especially those on long term deals. It should look ugly for no more than two years, and it should get less ugly each week.

3. I'm sick of us making knee-jerk reactions with our coaches. Time for solidarity please.
I'm sick of not caring about the footy every September because we're not involved.

4. He has had sucess. We beat the premier and took the GF loser to two points last year, so hey.
TW did a pretty good job last year, although we should have played finals - our pathetic efforts in the final rounds, especially the loss to Carlton, meant that, ultimately, we underachieved. But, we did get nine wins last year as opposed to four wins in 2004. If that improvement is not continued, it should be bye bye Terry.

5. We haven't lost to anyone that we expected to beat.
Excuse me, but have you lost your mind? Does the 110 point thrashing by Footscray ring a bell?

6. Do you really think it is a good idea to terminate a contract 26 games into a five year contract?
Not plan A certainly, but better than languishing on the bottom for longer than we have to.

7. The team doesn't mind him, helps team unity to have one coach for once.
Are you referring to the players? TW is not as popular as you think - that's a fact.

8. If we keep changing our coaches, no coach will want to coach us. Anyway, do you have any plausable thoughts on any real replacment?
And if we keep accepting our losing culture, no players will want to play with us. There are excellent coaches out there - not necessarily current AFL head coaches either.

9. Winning against Brisbane after making one of the longest trips in footy shows skill.
Absolutely. Take out Gaspar and Hall and add in Brown and we've got a decent list - not fantastic but decent. We should expect to be better than 1-3 with a percentage of 66%. We underperformed against the Dogs and against Coast and the Saints game was there to be won. When you've got a decent list and it underperforms, you can only look at the coach.

76, it is attitudes like yours that saw us sack Walls and Geischen, undermine Northey and renege on KB (as well as many before that).

FFS You are setting unrealistic goals knowing that he wont meet them, just so that you can say TW isn't a good coach. Get 'less ugly' every week? I find it hard to believe that an ex-VFL/AFL player could say that.

Did the Tigers get less ugly every week when you were playing? Better yet - has any club *ever* gotten less ugly every week? Should Essendon have sacked Sheedy when they lost to the Bulldogs in 2000?

I really do hope that you have no hands on role at the club.

It's been one year and one month! Contradiction?

Go join the Bulldogs, I'm sure you'd fit in there. :thumbsu:

Just wait and see how the whole year pans out before making ludicrous comments.

76 Gamer, you raise plenty of "problems" with TW, but not to forthcoming with solutions.

So if we sack Wallace, who do we get as coach wiseguy?
