I'm actually very doubtful about that one. I'm very confident that AOD was above board but I'm almost certain that the "circumstantial" evidence for TB4 is close to overwhelming. I do, however, also feel that this was not agreed upon by anyone at the club.

I see your point but most of the 'evidence' that you have seen is skewed through a very bad set of glasses.

Wait till the full records of conversations etc etc comes out and then make judgement.

There is no evidence that our players were given TB4.

What are everyone's thoughts of that letter of Bruce Reid's being released?
That could land the AFL in some serious trouble IMO.

Considering it is part of a confidential and ONGOING government investigation.. then I would have thought it shouldn't have been released.

My guess is that Vlad will blame Dillon...

As much as the golden boy James Hird is

any one else get a serious tingling feeling that he was looking right through you with laser eyes when he looked at the camera early in his statement?

Just over it now.. Seriously.. IT IS NOT FOOTBALL ANYMORE!!

Surprised a channel, or network has not started an EFC v ASADA ONLY program..

The other programs on that very network might be able to actually talk about football. You know, that little oval thing 22 blokes run around chasing and kicking and trying to hurt the **** out of the opposition team.

I can't see how Little and Demetriou could work together productively in the future after this.
.
What are the chances they're both still 'here' in 6 months' time?
I think Little has taken on the role of chairman in order to carry out a job. Only guessing, but I'm not sure his intentions have ever been a long term role. Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

As for Demetriou, there was talk of his time being up anyway. The saga may be making him stay on longer than he would have.

I just hope Little is the one who will still be employable after this is all over, and Andy....

It hasn't been for awhile. The weekend game is a respite from the reality.
Look at the Game Day threads the banter has gone.

Seriously this is getting to me. Bombers playing our biggest rival this weekend, and frankly it is secondary for me right now. It's gone too far to turn back now though and I would hate to see our club ever roll over and take something it didn't deserve for expeniency. heck everyone else.

cwootton.. all jokes aside..

these 'bad things' we did last year.. honestly are being 'done' in nearly every business in Australia. As someone who has worked in HR/Policy and Process for a long long time... it is disgusted the short cuts etc etc that employee's and employer's take in every workplace around this country.

The AFL should be careful before pointing fingers.. I would have a strong wager that there isn't a SINGLE club out there that isn't guilty of a little 'bad governance' from time to time on lots of little things. A register not maintained here, a list not typed there, a reference missed, no reference required because you are an ex club legend, not enough hours in the day etc etc..

So BHP got defruaded for around 800K about five year ago by a 'rogue' accounts person.. does BHP get charged for that? No, of course not.. the individual does. ASIX doesn't then come in and charge BHP for 'bringing the stock market into disrepute' because the person who was meant to check X didn't etc etc.. I mean plzzzzz.

100% of the 'issues' we had last year have been rectified.. end of story. This thing needed to be sorted out with a simple fine back in March this year and everybody move on.

Paul Little: The AFL is determined to punish the Essendon Football Club – and four individuals personally – as though we were drug cheats.

And that is the WHOLE problem. The AFL want to hand down punishments like we DID take drugs whilst saying "oh it is just for poor governance".. which you just can't do.

Only the most ardent of haters actually give a ****

I was ecstatic yesterday morning (pre Garnham bombshell) that the EFC saga WAS NOT the first story on the 6:00am news!

Everyone is over it, can these little boys take there silly games to the supreme court with some privacy with neutral media who will actually report the story unbiased (im talking like Mike Reilly - Ch7 political reporter and the barefoot investor guy as neutrals who don't give two hoots). Sick of EVERYONE having an opinion thrown into there 'report'.

Even Mick Malthouse (who might I add said he wouldn't respond after his initial comments 3 weeks ago) said he wouldn't comment, but continually bloody does.

I for one just want to thank the AFL.. I am so glad they won't be "providing a running commentary on these matters"

I would hate to have this thing all over the media all the time

Interesting way you put that rines

Caught the Cronnulla CEO (name alludes me) saying "yeah, last year we stuffed up. But we have rectified our policies and process' and will cop our due course"

As brutal as it was to their supporters, it was probably the best thing for them. They have admitted fault, and are now going to pay there due course.

I know the situations are parallels apart but I applaud Cronnulla for coming out and taking ownership. We are acknowledging and vehemently denying these allegations hence the MASSIVE media circus carrying on.
