I'd say the phone records only contain meta data and not actual voice recordings. Unless there is an SMS that some idiot forgot to delete there isn't much that can be proved either way unless Evans comes forward and tells the truth.

I'd say Evans is still firmly in our corner, never rule anything out

Look, I think the fact that no players have been found guilty of anything so far bodes well for him (I don't buy the Thymosin crap either, at worst Thymosin in it's illegal form was stored at the club for a time, I don't see it being used, and obviously ASADA don't either, if it was in the ASADA report do you think caro would have been able to stop herself writing about it? She's jumping at shadows now, what do you think she'd be like with actual evidence??)

There's more to it than that, but it's difficult to prove a senior coach has done anything wrong when there's no anti-doping violations. I say difficult because the AFL still have mafioso powers, in normal circumstances i'd say it was impossible.
Thanks Jack Package,
That wasn't a direct shot at you, just the number of people on here who seem to be having pot shots at others. If we disagree with somebody else's opinion, then we need to present a viable argument against that post, which then creates conversation. Otherwise this board will just turn into a HTB for Bomber supporters only.
Cheers.

Oh, and for those people bagging the mum for what she said and for breaking down, you need to grow up. What the players families and loved ones have had to go through would be terrible and any person with a heart and a brain could see that. If you claim to have a heart and a brain and you still want to bag the mum, go ahead, but personally I think that's a disgustingly low act.

Unless a judge orders a closed court room.. this could be for a number of reasons.

I suspect that Hird will be pushing for an open court room.

Hope it's open. We can pack it with people dressed in Essendon gear, and whenever any "exotic substances" are mentioned we can do a mexican wave. ;)

Hird is going to be nowhere near Essendon come March, that's a certainty. His legal tactics won't hold things at bay for long.

Lol. You should really be posting on the HTB. You can have a discussing with other like-minding people over there.

Sooo.......what did everyone talk about in previous seasons before this drugs saga?

Did we used to talk about some game that footballers apparently play every weekend?

Craziness

I wouldn't blame Hurley. This is getting out of hand. When players are exposed to an environment where their health is it risk, why would they want to stay? That would be alright if the club and the management who oversaw this took responsibility. When they carry on like little children in order to protect their own name without considering the players, the supporters and the club itself, then how would they be able to trust them again? I don't know about you guys, but I am absolutely fuming at the club and our senior staff. Reading the charge sheet and Reid's email, as well as Hird's comments yesterday made me question just who Hird is thinking of. It doesn't seem like he is thinking of the players, supporters or the club.
I want to move on from this saga. I think many players are sick of this saga and are probably considering leaving our club. The more this continues, the worse it is going to get. The name of our club is getting dragged in the mud. Why? Because of individuals not accepting responsibility? The players' health is much more important than a premiership. We shouldn't support this from our senior staff. It is not a good look.

I don't see how any Essendon supporter can view this as a positive thing. This will affect our long term success. Players (and their parents) may not want to come to our club (or stay at our club) because of this saga. How will dragging this on benefit us? We won't win the premiership. Why not accept the punishment and move on to 2014? We risk our 2014 premiership points by continuing.

No I am not a troll as I explained yesterday. I have been here since 2011 but cancelled my previous account (MadBomberman) because of all the trolling.

I am just so disappointed at the club for allowing this to occur in this manner. All of this while risking the health of the players just to get an 'edge' over the other clubs
What did hurley do?

Forget about the mother. She is an ignorant, house wife. Go back and listen, she says if Essendon thought everything was safe, why did the club make them sign consent forms...

Excuse me hunny...it is public knowledge that the leadership group wanted to get consent forms signed a few months into the program. This mother has so many concerns but had her husband to to the meeting...why didn't she got herself if she is so concerned.

The truth is, she is most likely one of the players parents who Caroline Wilson has been speaking with and this person now trusts Wilson and has been getting information from her mouth. The media will focus on how she spoke rather than the content of her speech. Emotion draws more than facts.

That's some ignorant shit, I didn't expect that from you.

Who cares what she does? Does what your mum do for a living define her as a parent? Does a woman need a career for her emotions to be considered? She's a mother who has been worried about her son for 6 months! We forget the personal side to this issue and that's not right.

I know that this saga is frustrating on us all, but don't let that change your standards. We're getting shit from everywhere and it's not fun to deal with, but take a moment to think.

Seriously, doesn't matter.

This is just as much of a witch hunt than any others people here complain day in and day out about. Just leave it alone.
I was just about to write the same,
It doesn't matter who she is. At the end of the day she is a mother

It's David Hurbleton's Mum...

Of course the parents are worried for the welfare of their children.
It's a scary situation, but we've been put in it, if we believe we have done nothing wrong, we'll fight it.
If players want to jump ship, then I understand that too, the resilience showed by the players thus far has been nothing short of miraculous.
