Hed just ask her certain questions and do his due diligence im sure before putting her on. However it could equal more viewers and more money like this whole saga is for media outlets. I wonder if they promoted it before she actually came on much?

agree....thats what im saying, send eddie a photo of every mum (which im sure we have) and ask eddie if he can name her?, only problem is eddie involved?

I think this is a really big factor. AFL doesn't really ever get challenged.. so this is all new for all of us. I think the media and other clubs are interested to see how it all goes down..

I would suggest this is the 'weakest' disrepute charge the AFL has ever had.. and yet it wants the most punishment ever handed down... something doesn't seem right there does it?!!

Oh.. and the other 17 clubs lining up behind AFL.. no big surprise there..

How would he know what she looked like?

Thats a pretty silly thing to say, it will never happen. The way i see it shes either mentally ill or actually a mother of one of the players. It will never happen and for him to try and suggest it was one of the basis of what they look like without knowing what the person looked like or getting each mother to stand before him and speak is ludicrous and silly.

That result was just as heavily skewed when the fango TV poll went up "Should Essendon be stripped of points?"

You and some of the others here sound so irrational... They basically just said they don't want to get involved and are hoping this gets wrapped up ASAP.... which is basically the same view that everyone who is closely following this wants.
 
Also.. I would want to talk to 'Sarah' (or 'timmy down the well') and explain to her that yesterday's press conference WAS all about Hird, because the players haven't actually done anything wrong but the AFL are trying to destroy Hird anyway.. so he wasn't defending the players.. because they are in the 'clear'.. now he is trying to defend himself. Your son should now be aware, to the best advice available, that he is at no risk of harm from the substances used in the supplement program last year. And the use of 'legal jargon' is to ensure everyone is clear that NOTHING ILLEGAL happened last year.

If any of the clubs came out and said they sided with us, the competition would just about cease to exist. It was always going to happen. Some clubs may sympathise with us, but nothing public would ever come out of it.

sorry mate, i've totally lost my mind, i was actually thinking for a second there that the 'players mother' was in the studio with eddie, hahaha dum dum dum
 
Also very important that whilst they did say they had 'confidence' in AFL management etc etc.. the main message was "ALL" parties should shut up in the media.. and they should get together and sort this shit out quickly and privately.

I didn't see it as anything more than a PR stunt by a desperate governing body.
