Mark Fine on SEN just compared us to the royal family in the year Diana died 1992. The Queen in her Xmas address referred to that year as her Annus Horribilis. Finey said this year has been our Annus Horribilis and like the royal family we will bounce back from this. He said we have won 16 premierships and as such we are footy royalty.

I like to think he is right

I would take Brain Cook's comments with a grain of salt.. they don't particularly want the AFL sniffing too close to the cattery.. then they would have to answer what 'pre-employment' checks they did on Robinson.. and what the long term health effects might be for any number of experimental methods they have employed over the last ten years...

People are sheep.. people are idiots.. lucky the EFC will stick by its champion and come back bigger and better next season...

Which can only be a good thing.

**** 2013.

**** the AFL

**** the majority of the media.

**** the sheep mentality of the majority of society.

**** the sanctions.

Kudos to EFC and it's supporter base.

Kudos to the players for showing us what they are capable of whilst under extreme pressure.

Kudos to those few in the media that try to read between the lines.

Kudos to the opposition supporters who can distinguish between fact and opinion/rumour/AFL agenda.

Let's look forward. Bring on 2014, and let's tear the comp a new one.
 
I was thinking last night, through the whole saga the AFL was only concerned about the money they potentially could lose thats why they dragged out the hearing until last week. In the 11th hour of negotiations the AFL threatened with it's trump card of indefinite deregistration of the club, throughout this whole scandle why would they threaten the club with that when they would lose TV rights money/sponsors/club money ect ect why didn't they threaten them with player sanctions because they have the full information as it was a "joint" investigation. The sanctions would damage the club's reputation but they would still have a team the next two years while the sanction were being served years. They would allow essendon to chose VFL players to make up the lost numbers.

They were expecting Essendon to challenge them regardless of threat and didn't want to use a empty threat as it would of made them look stupid if essendon continued it legal actions. The last line of defence they were at and we could of broken them if it wasn't for the compassion for the players.

It's not a good thing that it's winding down, this is where Essendon should get on the front foot because the AFL guard is down. Not to over turn the penalties that won't happen and is irrelevant now but do proper investigation and build a iron clad court case against the AFL for damages. Essendon had hardly anytime to prepare one and had a winning hand imagine if they wernt distracted by everything else.

I wouldn't as it means the majority of Essendon supporters accept what the AFL have done.

I think now I'm at the point where I don't give two shits about this entire thing. I've accepted that there are penalties, and I've accepted that we're going to see them out.

It's time to enjoy Carlton being kicked out of an undeserved finals series, and it's time to sit back and let the horrendous 2013 season wash into a distant memory.

It's also time to enjoy the fact that Liverpool are top of the table huehuehuehuehue
