Hayes has to play in 2021. I’d start him 1R.
He’s a genuine tap ruckman that can drop a kick behind the ball and take a grab. Needs to play.

I reckon Lycett is the elephant in the room. What chance we can turn Scotty into a KPD? Too slow?

If anything we'd move him forward. Played a bit there in his younger days. Has a better set shot than almost all of our forwards.

Yep fwd/ruck, or SANFL as depth for mine. I've given up on Lycett as a starting ruck.

Strachan was pretty good. I thought he had the measure of Hayes in the second showdown and it was tight in the first from memory. Hayes had a lull in the back end of the season as well.

I saw a team photo during finals and he is clearly taller than Dixon, Lycett and Ladhams

if it's even a consideration to trade him from coaches/list management they have serious issues. he needs to play games next year. he's put together the full season at state level against fully grown men that he needed, will hold him in good stead.
