Not really sure where the hate is coming from with Sam today. Hayes/visentini cleary won the hitouts against Strauchan/Himmelberg, the next best ruck combo. They were 50/50 ruck/forwards so spent half a game up forward with some of the most woeful delivery i've seen. Even so Hayes took a contested mark dead in front of goal for 1 goal. This is off almost zero match practice as, and I can not stress this enough, he was in Whyalla mentoring school students when Teackle was in WA as the 2nd choice ruck. Did Teakle contest a single ruck? no he didn't. He played down back, for the first time in his career, was absolutely terrible and coughed up the ball multiple times. Lycett has to give us something, it's as simple as that. If he gets mugged in the ruck again and doesn't have 15+ possessions or kick a goal or 2, he's offering nothing. Might as well play Hayes/ Visentini. Don't care which one. Just someone who isn't a cooked 30 year old.

Next week we play West Coast, whose current #1 ruck is Bailey Williams. Last year against Bailey Williams, Sam Hayes had 48 hitouts in his second ever AFL game. This is 6 more hitouts than Lycett has ever had in a game in his 10+ year, 100+ game career.

Lycett has been the single worst player on the ground in 60% of the games he's played this year.

Bring in Hayes farken.

Or at least bring in Georgiades and run Dixon/Finlayson in the ruck. But **** Lycett off, forever. There is literally no aspect of AFL football that he is good enough at anymore. We should delist him tomorrow.

I want Hayes in... I feel like he is just going through the motions... He knows Hinkley doesn't rate him... He knows he's gone end of the year. Best thing now is to sack Hinkley and hopefully Carr gives him a run.

Then the first 2 SANFL games it was 60% Hayes, 40% Visentini. With Teakle moving down back.

I reckon in the U18s Academy trial it would have been 90% Hayes. Barely saw Visentini ruck.

Never.

This kid will find himself somewhere else next year and develop nicely imo.

Gives first use of the footy to bring midfield into the game.

At a minimum he’s certainly done at port and should have requested a trade in the off season.
