Dons land $7 million sponsor

Same figure as Carlton's Hyundai sponsorship.

It's got a fourth year option.

How do you figure that??

Dons land $10 Million sponsor.

Samsung will take over from telecommunications provider 3 Mobile as the naming rights sponsor of the Bombers from next season, and has committed to three years plus an option of a further year.
The value of the deal is estimated at $2.7 million a season, eclipsing the combined amount paid by Wizard Home Loans and Emirates to sponsor Collingwood.

Any idea what our sponsorship with Tasmania is worth??

I dont know... hold the phone... I just found the details

Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett says the club will remain in Melbourne, despite signing a $15 million sponsorship deal with the Tasmanian Government.
You'd hope for a lot of money when they're buying a club :p

Besides, numerous reporters are calling it the biggest sponsorship ever. Not us. I'd wager they're more in the know about such things than people on a forum.

He included all the home games they sell off.

The sponsorship deal is no way near $15m over 5 years.

The reason why the Tasmanian deal is ignored is because only $1.8m of that (per year) is allocated to the major sponsorship, the remaining $1.2m a year is for the 4 games we play down there, though obviously we wouldn't get one without the other and visa versa.

The sponsorship deal is no way near $15m over 5 years.

The Sponsorship component of the deal is around $9m over 5 years, plus performance based incentives

no they are that tight i remember seeing us train in them earlier this year

It makes them harder to tackle apparently.

Let's hope so, I'd love watching Alwyn Davey speeding around with a couple of opposition players missing their tackles. It'd be tops.

They can't catch him already so it would make it almost impossible to get the little fella. :thumbsu:
