As boring as it is, and aside from the Jimmy non-trade, I like what the 49ers have done this off-season.
49ers are clearly investing in their own players stepping Up (they have a lot of 2-3 year vets who still have a lot of growth in them).
Steered clear of the big ticket items knowing they have their own stars to sign as a priority. Have focused on reliable depth, role players and stiffened special teams with the exception of Ward who addresses a clear area where more starter quality was needed.
Still want more offensive line pieces though. Right now, the line is on a knife edge, on paper it could be a good line with the 2nd year plays stepping up and McGlinchey coming back. On the other hand it wouldn't take much for it to be a complete disaster.
Still need another edge project early.
