More just typical of this generation, play one good season and all of sudden the team should rip up the contract and pay you. Did Deebo offer to give part of his contract back when he was injured the year prior?

I'm not privvy to the goings on with Deebo but he can go to another team if he doesn't want to play with Lance or tries to hold the club ransom for a new contract. No player is bigger than the team.

The Athletic's Connor Hughes reports the 49ers have "zero intention" of trading Deebo Samuel.​

The same sentiment was later reported by Josina Anderson. With Samuel previously playing under Jets OC Mike LaFleur and New York desperate for another wide receiver, it would be the perfect landing spot for San Francisco's disgruntled receiver. For now, they will have to wait on acquiring Samuel as all signs point to the 49ers attempting to work something out with him. If San Francisco can't convince him to return over the next few days, they may cave to a massive offer for Samuel on the eve of the draft, which starts next Thursday. The Jets reportedly made an offer that included the No. 35 and 38 picks for Tyreek Hill before he was traded to Miami. A similar deal would be required for them to land Samuel.

I think the Jets opening offer will be similar to what they did with Hill, two seconds and a third round pick swap, but they could offer a bit more coz they are familiar with him.
