We return for our last 9 games at 4-4. 2 horrendous blown games against NFC West foes, with an early kickoff at Tampa. A limited team that looked better than we did against the Chiefs.

Run home ain't easy,

@ Tampa
Seahawks
@ Green Bay
@ Buffalo
Bears
Rams
@ Dolphins
Lions
@ Cardinals

Tough games against teams with a strong winning record (GB, Lions, Bills), teams around .500 (TB Bears), a team that looks very much improved with their QB back (Dol) and the repeate games in the West gauntlet.

Based on the division we're going to need to be 11-6 or 10-7 (probably needing tie breakers), and unless there is a huge fall off from the front runners in the conference the wildcard spots might be beyond reach.

Our path to the playoffs include winning remaining division games (must to maintain tiebreakers) and as many NFC games as possible (improve NFC tiebreaker).

Critical we win the next 2 weeks to set up a tough stretch.

More good CMC progress turning in a limited practice today.

His return is huge. We need to manage the load and keep him healthy but his return adds a stack of improvement across-the-board to our offence.

My unofficial value for CMC is we're at least a 7 point better team (1 additional FG a game instead of a midfield stalled drive punt, and turning a deep redzone FG in to a TD).

Defence has to do so much more to account for him, meaning they can't just play high safeties and limit the big plays for our receivers. More attention and focus means more isolation for the receivers. Longer drives, more moving the chains, improved redzone, more clock control etc etc.

We just need to keep him.fit and make sure that his not impacted by the Achilles issues

You know how jets fans are , they now think they are going to go on a run after beating the texans. Would love nothing more than seeing rodgers getting crushed .

should go 7-2 or 6-3

Cards fan here, do think you will be afford to load manage CMC when playing against teams such as green bay and buffalo?
Kyle doesn't load manage period! We could be up 21 late in the 4th and he'll call a CMC run up the middle.

Hopefully he's seen enough of Mason and Guerendo and how effective they've been to still get snaps, especially if we're in the clear.

If he plays the next 2 before GB and the Bills, we'll see hus volume - and Kyle might be able to lean on him some more

It’s my biggest issue with Kyle and Lynch is they never address our biggest issues.

3 Biggest weakness last season Oline, Special teams and late game play calling.

3 Biggest weakness this season are exactly the same 3 things.

Reason Chiefs have won last few superbowls after Tampa bay beat them due to oline issues they rebuilt it to be a strength of their team. What have 49ers done to address any of their weaknesses absolutely nothing other taken a guard in 3rd round.

16...the first missed FG put the Bucs on a short field to kick their own FG.

Going to need Deloitte or EY to audit these numbers, I'm finishing with 22 points due to special team cluck ups.

3 X missed FG (9) + 2 short field FG (6) +
1 muffed punt short field TD (7)

Outrageous.

And he makes a game winner by a bee's dick from the same spot his missed 5 mins earlier.

Bottom line is...if you look around the league most of the teams with better records don't make the mistakes the 2024 49ers do.

Special teams have contributed to every 49er lose this year.

Special team has been bad but so has our red zone offence for someone who is meant to be a genius game caller in Kyle he is pretty bad at getting us tds instead of fg attempts in red zone this season.

It shows how much we've regressed to the pack. Still should win most weeks but much finer margins.

TB are plucky, just ask the chiefs, but are missing their entire WR corp, Wirfs for injured during the game, their secondary is atrocious.

We stalled out drives, needing to attempt 6 FG.

What makes things worse about the close of the game was after getting the lead back and then forcing the punt, we've got the ball with under 5 mins to go. A good drive here holding a 3 point lead is enough to close out the game with a TD, or at the very least burn clock, force them to use timeouts or at least drive the field....

But we have a 5 play drove which burns less than 2 mins and forces a missed FG attempt - giving back the ball with 3 mins and 3 timeouts. Lucky the D held inside the 10.

Today it wasn't even just redzone failures (1 TD and 2 FG from. 3 attempts), it was also 4 drives that ended between the TB 25-40. Drives just fall apart when we cross halfway.

The offensive play calling is horrible. Absolutely no tempo, seem to call the opposite run/pass to what seems obvious, Purdy holding the ball way too long and there is zero creativity.

Can we delete the Deebo jet sweep? Is called at least once per game and never works other than causes injuries.

And can we stop wasting plays calling power runs whoever we require Brendal to block?

Let’s just delete (trade) deebo. Kyle loves his versatility but I feel his runs and sweeps just muck up tempo.

Anyone feel we are wasting an offensive playmaker position playing Juice do much?

I'd like to see more Kittle, CMC, Mason/Jennings, Deebo, Pearsall and Cowing personnel.

Too often who is out there and alignment makes the play call so predictable.

Too many empty backfields and lack of play action for me.

Luter who was the gunner who found himself in the wrong place on the punt return fumbled catch, is also the very same gunner who stuck his leg out in the Superbowl which caused a live ball turnover.

In case you need any help Special Teams, one is an accident, twice is a habit.

When Juice is a weapon is when he's not used for many snaps for weeks (other than blocking), then bam in big moments.

I don't mind having him part of the setup, it just needs to be be less obvious with what we intend to do.
