Didn't necessarily say that I would do the trade this week now did I?

I was only trying to find out how many trades you'd have left if you went through with those 2 trades.

I knew you were low, though. You're not going to die wondering if you go through with it. :D

I have been actually thinking of doing the 2 trades this week but yeah like you said with only 3 trades left its mighty low.

I have Heppell as D7 at the moment and switch him with Puopolo, Hibberd and Jacobs. Would really like to do the Toy > Fisher trade though as I would have a full playing back and midfield bench then.

Would be -

Back bench - Puopolo, Heppel, Jacobs.

Midfield bench - Callihan, I.Smith, Hibberd

Forward bench - Mzungu, Lynch, Richardson.

Quite alot of depth on my bench's there I must say. :)

If I downgraded Sandilands maybe I could try and downgrade him to at least a very cheap playing ruckman and still have enough cash to go Toy > Fisher.

Will probably just wait it out a few more weeks. Last thing I want is 2-3 season ending injuries with no trades to replace them with. LOL! :D:thumbsu:

Only have 6 trades left...

My issues are:

Is Cox and Smith good enough to be 1 and 2 as a combo?

Cos if yes - Ill get Bailey or Hale and free up a shitload of cash...

And then if I got that option, which of the two?

Is Smith likely to get another rest?

What about Jolly - would he be fully over his injury?

This is gonna be THE biggest decision!!!

downgrading Z Smith to Spud Gawn a week before Sandi breaks down again was another masterstroke trade move on my park.

Now i need to cover a donut with 3 trades left.

Oh well, should have offloaded him when everyone else did 5 weeks ago

I guess wait and see what the verdict is after his visit to the foot expert today. Doesn't sound very promising though.

There really is no obvious direct swap options for me right now. Don't wanna touch players with a bye in finals. Plus would wanna see at least a game or 2 out of Jolly and Jamar.

McEvoy!? Been putting up good numbers, but could Gardiner loom at threat?

Griffin!? Was putting up really good numbers also. But just don't seem right...

This is doing my head in!

*EDIT Had no idea Jamar played vs Tigers last week.

For me, he'll be a direct swap for Cox after the weagles bye this week - finally fixing up the huge error of not having the (other) big man in my squad to start with...

Zmith to cover Sandi again this week.

Think I will trade Sandilands to a spud and use Petrie as my second ruck

Will do an upgrade in the forward line. Cox Smith and Petrie in ruck should be ok for the rest of the year.

I think I'll do the same. Currently have: Cox, Sandi, Smith, Keeffe. N Riewoldt is my 8th forward, so I'll probably downgrade Sandi to Lobbe.

I think I will find the cheapest playing ruck this week to cover sandi out and cox on the bye, and use cox and smith for the remainder of the year.

Question is - who will that cheapie be?

Right now Goldstein has < 16,000 owners.
He is averaging 112/game. Thats better than every fwd bar one (Pav).
A straight swap lets me keep Petrie in the forwards and only costs 1 trade. Its very tempting.
2 things to consider though - when will Mcintosh be back and can I afford to be without him and Petrie come the first week of finals?
McEvoy is in a similar vein. Only owned by 13,000 odd teams. Averaging 101/game. Has Gardiner coming back, but no byes to worry about.

+1 (Damn you Keeffe, having a nice PS/NAB Cup and tricking me into selecting you). I also have Petrie in my forward line as cover, so I think I will do a Sandilands -> J. Tippett, move Petrie into the ruck for this week (or for if I get an injury later on) and use the 400k to go Harris -> ROK (who will be moved to the forward line for I. Smith) this week. This will leave me with 284800 in the bank, which I can then use next week to go Darling -> Franklin (after his price hopefully dropps this week as he has a break even of 156) next week, leaving me with 50Kish in the bank and 4 trades.

Griffen. :thumbsu:

It really is a dilemma. I have 10 trades left still so have abit of scope for trying a couple of things. I think i might bring in young Zac Clarke in for sandy and use him as my emergency ruckman for Cox's bye and also for any potential rest young Smith may have. I can't see clarke getting dropped now and he is slowly getting better and better.

Word just in that the scans have cleared Sandi from surgery and will only miss 4 weeks now...

From FremantleFC Website:
The specialist has advised that a review of the scans revealed less damage than was initially thought, ruling out the need for surgery.

Sandilands, who will miss the next four weeks, will continue his treatment under the guidance of Fremantle’s medical staff.

Do you sit on him for 4 weeks now and risk another reoccurence or proceed with the downgrade?

In my case im going to carry him... again! If they are right with prediction of 4 weeks hopefully he will be fine coming back leading into league finals.

Petrie into ruck. Wear a donut this week with WC / Cox bye. Unless Keeffe happens to get a crack but very doubtful.

*EDIT Plus Freo have a bye in the period so he may only miss 3 games total

I think I will still trade him out. No guarentee that it will only be the 4 weeks, and there isn't anything stopping it from happening again.

Too fragile for the rest of this year, but he will be there again next year ;):thumbsu:

I think it depends on whether you have trades up your sleave, if the rest of your team is pretty much complete and also what your ruck cover is like. I've already traded him but if I hadn't and had 6+ trades left I'd ditch him. Less than that and I'd have to think about the pros and cons of it all.

God, that he's now only out for 4 weeks really complicates things. My rucks are Cox, Sandi, (Tippett, McCulloch - 91k rookie) and Petrie in the forward line. If I wait it out, I'll cop a donut this week. Otherwise, will trade Sandi > Jamar. Have 6 trades left. Ahh decisions.

I think everyone who has sandi and is looking for best overall points score should trade him.

  1. Too much cash sitting on the bench for another 4 weeks
  2. Will def not be fit on his return and will take a couple of weeks for his scores to rise
  3. Injury may recur straight away again
  4. Every AFL footballer needs absolute confidence in their body to kill it at AFL level...he will not have this confidence the next couple of games after his return which equals lower scores.
  5. Freo might managge his game time next time with an eye on the finals....50% game time, 75% game time etc.
Gawn!

If you are going for league win and have 5+ trades...trade him...if you have less then it is a tough call.
