I have always liked Sandy Roberts and I felt that he largely did a good job tonight, but I agree that the interview was quite poor. Bruce would of just raised a few pedantic stats for the record.

For pure cringeworthiness though, Quartermains 'Give us a wave Rebecca" will never be beaten.

I think the trackrecord with brownlow winner interviews is quite poor from all corners. I seem to remember an incident related to Adam Cooney's interview, and didn't Bruce embarrass Jimmy Bartel for not bringing a lady to the count?

It really was ordinary, I think Seven really need to update the roster. We all love Bruce but really he's a bit of a pain. I cannot stand Dennis and his 'witty' double entendres, they are terrible. Sandy Roberts has not been relevant for 15 years now, they might as well have resurrected Drew "want me to commentate the darts?" Morphett.

True with regards to a track record of awkward moments. I'm fairly sure when Harves won his second one, his missus was expecting their child. Bruce took the due date and worked backwards to determine in a none-too-subtle way that the baby had been conceived around the time of his first brownlow win. The bad interviews take the glory out of a great achievement. I would rather they announce the winner and let them have a speech oscars-style without the interaction with some dinosaur of the 90s.
