I hate people who refuse to take any responsibility for themselves or their actions. If you go to an activity where there are objects flying around, ffs take some notice of what's going on around you and stop running to the bottom feeding scum to sue on your behalf!

I guess the main thing people have overlooked in this article is not the fractured arm, but the complex regional pain syndrome. My wife has suffered from this for the past 9 years and it is one of the most debilitating things I have ever witnessed. A lot of the time it is visible through things like swelling of the limbs, the skin going very cold and odd colouring. But, sometimes it looks no different. But the main thing is intense, burning pain a majority of the time. I guess if it is proven she has it, the figure she is after for future treatment sounds fair as patients with this condition will be continuously on medications. And a lot of them aren't cheap (here in Australia anyway). Sure, it was an accident, but it's the world we live in I guess.
