Scoreless Quarters!!!

Surely a team not kicking a single point in a quarter wouldn't happen very often especially at the high scoring telstra dome.

Yesterday the Bulldogs went scoreless in the second quarter against the Kangaroos. Alot has been written and said about their struggling forward line but even the most optimistic of bulldog's supporters would have expected this.

When was the last time a team went without scoring in a quarter?

i'd say its more a problem with their midfield getting absolutely smashed. Check the inside 50's, you cant expect the forwards to score if the footy is down the other end the whole quater. The first quater showed how dangerous they can be when they actually do get it in quick.

good point, they obviously have some real worries in the midfeild as well .

i didn't see the second quarter but i nearly choked on my breakfast when i read they didn't even score in the second quarter........Just woondering when this would have happened last??

Come as a shock....no. How pathetic they are have been playing over the past few weeks, doesn't really surprise me.

I would of liked them to show some ticker for Robbins and Darcy, but they failed miserably in 2007.

Great honesty. Every team has it's bad moments, you just have to move on and hope for better days.

Kooley has failed to respond (again) to it though....

This happened Sunday afternoon but Kooley didn't troll the bulldogs until Monday?

I know back in the early-mid 90s, Adelaide vs Hawthorn had 2 scoreless quarters.

Crows failed to score in quarters 1 and 3. Can't remember what season it was.

Don Scott once coached South Adelaide and went 0-6 in his first season and rightly resigned and left the club. When will Ratten do the right thing by the club and hand in his termination letter?

Heed your own advice and gow up. I think the great Paul Gow played that day when you know you kicked ... 1 goal. BTW when was the last time a caretaker coach was appointed after losing 7 games in arow?If i were you sonny i'd worry about your newly developed losing culture. The players love rats. Our players loved Peter Rohde to.

Eagles vs Port, round one, 2003 i think it was. Jako's 250th. Eagles piled on the goals in the 3rd qtr and Port def did not score. Its not that rare an occurence. A scoreless qtr would happen probably 3 or 4 times a yr
