The game before the redraw is by far the game of the season. It will feature the best two teams in the APS Haileybury and Scotch. What does everyone think about this game and what will be the crucial match ups.
I think Erikson FB at H.C on Jacobs from S.C will be big and the ruck contest will be another big one. I wonder who from Haileybury will man up on Smith and Rioli, but also who from Scotch will man up on Hill, Succuzzo, Beckwith, Collins, Francis, Comben!

DUde....wut about Haileybury's yr 10's??? I wonder who will manup on Vickery, Piggin, SMith, Steen, Perri, Lynch and Johnny Nic, and Kyle Martin??? Any thoughts?????

Having seen both teams play , it will be good. Scotch are a much bigger side and have indigenous brilliance. HC are very even with every player being good. SC have a few fringe players. Injuries will be important. Will the HC boys be allowed to play TAC in the holidays.A couple of injuries would hurt HC as their 2's are ordinary.

Will be a massive game. With the likes of Smith, O'Shannessy, Rioli and Djekkura, those sorts of players near the middle and the fearsome forward line of Jacobs and Sherwen who liken themselves to the Lyon-Schwarz line up of the mid 90s for melbourne. It will be a superb match of scholarships v. free football talent.

They will not get belted by 100+ points. I predict a hard fought contest as it is at Scotch, and as they have school spirit, a decent crowd will turn out at the main. The only thing that will get HC over line is money.

Big prediction mate, the only thing goiing for Scotch is possible really bad umpiring..otherwise..HC by 100+ points

Haileybury won't win by over 100 points, they will be lucky to win at all.

Seem to be evenly matched sides and will be good to see the game. Injuries will play a part, but with a Scotch forward line consisting of Rioli, Sherwen (18 goals in the past 3 games), Jacobs (5 goals, playing with broken finger) and others, they will be a good chance.

Haileybury with their $$$ will provide a good contest.

Interesting to note that Scotch are actually on top of the ladder if u put it to percentage. Played differant teams of course but its still a fact.

I want to vomit everytime I hear the excuse that teams are no good because Haileybury have more scholarships than you have. The Geelong College skipper acknowledged after the game that Haileybury are a terrific team.........read team. :thumbsu: In a few years Scotch won't be able to field a side because of the changing demographics of the school. What will you guys do then?

what do you mean by changing in demographics?

Mate post the ladder all you want but in a league where there are byes and not all teams have played the same amount of games the ladder is worked out by percentage win loss ratio. And think about it, there are 8 drawn rounds and each round 1 team has a bye suggesting that when the last 3 rounds are decided 3 teams will ahve played 1 more match than the rest. Meaning i imagine that the percentage system will be used.

According to that Scotch and Hailubury are equal first.
And if you do the math Scotch have a higher ratio of points for compared to points against. Obvioulsy doesnt technichally matter in this league.
Was just an observation.

Big woop mate, its clear that Haileybury have played far better teams and thumped them easily, we play St Kevins in a couple of weeks and i am predicting a 150 points smashing. Scotch get to play all the sh1t teams like wesley and Carey, but Haileybury dont, unfair, well it doesnt matter Haileybury just keep winning by an average of 12 goals(which is exactly the same as Scotch) except they havent played any duds.

you can only play who you've been fixtured against, it aint Scotch's or Haileybury's fault that their fixturing is different. Your attack against Scotch is nothing more than pathetic.

What I mean't is that a lot of the guys going to Scotch in year 7 / 8 are not into Aussie Rules.

mate get your facts right. Four years ago in year 7 there were only enough boys to fill 2 and a half teams. This year they can fill 3 healthy teams. So that says a lot about what u said that less boys were in too footy these days. Football is as healthy at scotch as it ever has been. If it wasn't for you buying all your players, you wouldn't even have a team fit enough to compete in the first division. Ur an absolute idiot/joke

Not quite an absolute idiot, but thanks for the compliment. Time will tell. Lets see how yr going in 2010! By the way I don't go to Haileybury! Good luck though I hope Scotch does well against them and it is a good match. There has hardly been a close game all season in the APS. Forget about Haileybury. Perhaps people should look at what is happening in their own backyard and why their teams are not competitive.

Hahahaha u r a complete morone, u have about 2 or 3 players that are guns and that is it, our line up compared to urs, there is no competition we have blokes on the bench u would have starting in key positions on the ground.

Lets see how you go tomorrow as you have played no one yet but I couldn't see any more than 3 players from Scotch getting a game for Haileybury
We are by far the best side just ask any coach that we have played
Every player plays TAC Cup VAFA or VFL that is the whole 21 not just 3-4
