We're not saying that at all. We're responding like we are because some are saying that it's "not even close". 99% of neutrals would say that "not even close" is just ludicrous, the remaining 1% would be undecided.
Don't blame us for responding like that to such ridiculous statements.

Those statements, fair enough. They are stupid. There's barely anything between the top 7 or so mids in the comp.

If it's a question of output over their careers thus far, than Pendles has our boy covered. Has been at his current elite level for multiple years now. Still wouldn't trade Cotchin for him though. He is younger, and on talent alone is as capable as Pendlebury.

Yup, this.

Having said that, I wouldnt trade Cotchin either. :thumbsu:

you stick cotchin in a collingwood or hawthorn and he'd look even better... ignorant statement that players look better in ordinary teams...
You stick Buckley in Essendon/ North teams of the 90's he would have looked even better, great to know. Seeing Collingwood were a rabble how great was Buckley going by your theory.

It doesn't work like that when it comes to Bucks, because the agenda can't be suited. You know that :thumbsu:

Probably one of ur best players in history so no big secret he went well. Just clearing up this he looks better cause he stands out in an ordinary team is bulls**t.

Beams thread fair enough, their is a gap in class. But Pendles at this stage has the runs on the board and is the better of the two.

Rofl...

There's a gap in class between Beams and Cotchin? Must of missed that.

It's pretty hard to be "a gap" above a guy that averaged 31 touches across an entire season, and kicked over a goal a game....... lol

Pendlebury for now, but it could change down the track.

Despite what most Tigers supporters think, Cotchin is sitting in that very good group of young players that have produced one very good season, like Murphy, Beams, J.Kennedy, Dangerfield etc

The likes of Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury, Watson, Selwood, Mitchell etc are a step above, purely because of their longevity in doing it.

I've jumped right on the Cotchin wagon. As much as you'd probably have to say Pendlebury due to having been around a couple of years more, I reckon Cotchin can get a lot better. There aren't a whole lot of players from the opposing teams I care much for and really sit back and enjoy watching, but this bloke is just all class, has a ton of football left in him, and if the Tigers can win a few more games I would be extremely surprised if he didn't grab a Brownlow or 3.

Never said Beams was no good, just not in Cotchins class at the moment.

In a recent footy review the author said of Cotchin "...one player who doesn’t wow you statistically but rates arguably higher than anyone else when it comes to the eye test." Pretty much sums him up.The bloke is pure silk.

Agreed, Cotchin is a silky smooth mover. But Beams has him covered statistically pretty comfortably, and thats with sharing the ball between some pretty handy types.

There's nothing in it.

Perfect point in time to make this poll. Should have asked which player posters would prefer in their team from this year onward, as even up until last year Pendles' best was better, but Cotchin could very well overtake him this year. As yet unknown.
