WHERE IS NARRE IN 2025?

Narre Warren has committed to the Outer East league for 2024 but there’s a few Southern league outfits that want to see the Magpies in their comp the following year.

After its bid to get into the MPFNL was denied, a handful of teams in the Southern league wanted to see Narre Warren shift its attention to the SFNL.

They feel the competition has grown since Cranbourne came into Southern and feel the Magpies will only make the league stronger.

Narre was denied a third consecutive premiership this season, losing the Premier Division Outer East grand final to Wandin.

The Powelly trophies were great, unique and a great reflection of the timber town that they are.

That Brock Castree is sure making a name for himself in his little time in Victoria, Reported a no show at Powelltowns presentation night after chasing bigger dollars mid season and leaving the Basin fc mid year. Now obviously linked to coldstream with baylis and co

My old friend involved at coldy told me today his name around there club isn't circling too well and he hasn't even stepped foot in the door

I can see his name back in S/A before round 1 book mark it, these types are found out quick these days

I can’t see Powelly folding for what it’s worth.
Interesting question though. In 2022 Quambatook announced pre season that it would be their last season after battling for a long time. This produced a spike in interest including a few blokes who always intended to play a year at their Dads’ club etc. They had an improved year I think finishing 3rd. Massive event to farewell the club, if they had have managed to win the flag this would be the only way I would consider a flag worth it. The end was coming regardless and they had one last crack at it.

Great to see Yea announcing some good recruits, let’s hope they can get on the park as well!

Ben Wratten announced as there coach. At least you know he won't coach them, leave and then try take all his players with him like there last coach.
