Sweet F.A News
Wolves slump to embarrassing defeat at charity retirement home match, Bandits slump to embarrassing defeat against an invisible opposition.
The Geelong Wolves
The club led to shambles by Quivorir were dealt a devastating loss to the Roys and are anchored to the bottom of the table compounded by a raft of off field problems. The dramatic mid season trade of ex captain SM after half a season at the Swamprats and seeing stew42 depart in return sees the team gain some much needed experience after featuring heavily in the worst team played lists of the Season 22 Survey. The steadying hand of a known leader returning could be the beginning of the turnaround to prevent the possibility of the Wolves folding within the next few seasons. With only 5 posters showing up in all of the teams match threads for the year, and a literally blinding record of zeros weekly, the wolves have arguably surpassed even the Royals in terms of inactiveness.
A positive, is that two of their active players have been recent finds and one of them is extremely promising rookie Bet on Blue who has already become arguably the Wolves best poster. The reliable Hatchy1992 is an ever present force in the middle and leads the disposal count for the club at the Lair, whilst rookie ruckman sensation GWBogan has racked up the Dream Team points to lead impressively in his first season.
The captains inability to correctly represent his team has cost the Wolves a valuable four points that may prove decisive in the struggle to avoid a wooden spoon. It's also cost quality posters like mike123 a wasted season of their career, however, when the Wolves unbelievebly uncrushable team spirit combines with whatever strategy their wackjob captain puts down on their Official Team Threads, they have proven good money for their wins this season, as well as their losses, including two weeks ago when the Wolves admirably went down to the high scoring Swamprats even after registering an astounding 159 points themselves.
The Baghdad Bombers
The Bombers were in an impressive streak of win win, loss loss that disregarded all reasonable chances of happening, until they broke it with a third consecutive loss...way to break #thestreak Bandits! Leading almost the entire game, the team run by veteran campaigner beez suffered some terrible luck to lose by a last gasp snatch for the four points by ShanDog and the Royals from Gold City. Valiant performances in the loss by star sophomore dennis crumpet and contender for best use of facial expression user images Red mist were just not enough to get Baghdad over the line.
The star everyone wants on their team KohPhi
The Bandits are actually a very solid team with depth in posters like burningdwarf ,Shermy on the stats and saintkildaman and we here at Sweet F.A news expect them to come out with an aggressive game plan to attack the Wolves physically from the beginning and not look back
Who Wins?
The Bombers will make amends of last weeks lapse in concentration and start a new streak of dropping every second game.
