The Royals look to increase their chances of usurping the trailblazing Bears for top spot after a boastful victory over the Bandits. The Furies brought about their 2nd win in three games to celebrate the milestones of two historic Qooty figures and find themselves back in a Finals spot.
Gold City Royals
The Royals unluckily missed out on another MOTR ranking this week facing off against inarguably the greatest team in the competition. Riding an impressive rigging of the MOTR ranking they have proven that no presence in the stands for their games or in match threads besides a core number of posters makes no difference on Qooty results. Last weeks nailbiting comeback against the Bandits who led from the start of the second quarter until the final stages of the 4th after a breakthrough goal from club leading goal scorer ShanDog capped off an impressive campaign midway through the season from the purple wearing ponces of Gold City.
The team that boasts 3 of the 4 elite player's in HaroLad 's Power Rankings have a small but powerful unit that operates efficiently and effectively to see the team sitting pretty in 2nd position with an equal high points total. The co captaincy of Blacky and Marlowe are keen to repeat last years promising performance to reach finals but are ready for this years campaign with a hardened approach to team management and valuable experience to learn from.
Rookie pick up Thatsapaddlin has proved a masterstroke signing and remains a firm chance for the end of year award, and a match thread highlight in any Royals game. Fellow rookie J Shuttlesworth has slipped by criminally unnoticed in terms of quality banter, and in terms of qooty is leading the clubs Dream Team rankings. The elite duo of club captain Blacky and major off season recruit BigJoeD_ * have been instrumental in steering the ship and made sure the team look to be one of the two of the locked in for an invitation to the Finals Party.
The Fighting Furies
The greatest club in the world celebrated the milestones of two of the best to bless the league and the melancholy notice of another qooty great's indefinite departure. The team took inspiration from all time leading goal kicker Tarkyn_24, back pocket specialist footy_fumbler and elite half forward This Is Anfield to dish up the most dominant team performance in a few weeks and seal back an expected spot in finals that was seemingly, surprisingly slipping away just a few weeks ago under the torment of the streak.
Another exciting turnaround at Punt Road has seen the introduction of promising new rookie NaturalDisaster, with a posting style perfect for the match threads of qooty, and the return of premiership player Stevi_Tigers who displayed Cyril - like abilities to help his team across the line with two goals from two kicks against the Wonders. The reinvigoration of the line up by injecting the class and quality of team captains Gentlemen and _Cayz_ into the starting line up has seen a return to form for the team.
Helen Wheels stands out as the teams Dream Team leader and has dominated from the wing this season, making it look like a walk in the park. Simultaneously the B&F favourite has been humiliating the opposition off field with her wit, making it look like a walk in the park. The respected RodneyDangerfield continues to provide sustained posting excellence to the league, racking up his highest post tally in a few weeks against the Wonders. Star off season recruit akkaps has experienced a downturn in on field form in recent weeks after shooting out of the blocks for Mobb contention but his posting stats have remained awe strikingly solid all season, picking up another first place performance last week, although he will look to improve upon a meagre outing of 22 Dream Team points.
