Welcome back to Dun Lop Stadium for the Season 30 Heritage Round Qooty Carnival for the clash between the Baghdad Bombers All Time XX taking on the Gold City Royals All Time XX. The current day Bombers have enthusiastically expressed their desire to represent their heritage in this carnival and such is their passion, who could deny them the opportunity to be involved in such a legendary match. Game will be posted shortly.

Although officially retired, what a great honour to be in the Bomber starting 18, especially considering the calibre of Bomber legends on the bench..

And so that concludes the clash between the current day Bombers lineup and the Gold City Royals All Time XX. In a rainy game at Dun Lop Stadium, the Royals burst out of the block and were able to keep the Bombers at arms length for the entirety of the game. The Bombers were gutsy in their efforts and pushed to close the gap a number of times, but could not overcome the incredible efforts of Blacky who kicked 7 goals in a performance that wound back the clock.

Now, The Filth Wizard and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing organisation that is the Make-a-Wish Foundation for arranging this game.



After learning about how keen the young current Bombers were in taking the field with some of the greatest names the SFA has ever seen, we simply didn't have it in our hearts not to allow them to be a part of this prestigious event. So we're really pleased that as an organisation the Gold City Royals were able to once again, make dreams come true and put smiles on faces. Well done Bombers, you gave a very good effort.

Now that the rain has cleared up at Dun Lop Stadium, we can get started with the real Heritage Round Qooty Carnival All Time XX Clash. I know it's a tall order of the Royals legends to play 2 games back to back with no rest. But legendary teams did not get where they are by passing up a challenge. Stay tuned.
