I think there was also pressure on CA from the players association over potential quarantining scenarios with WA. Perth stadium surface isn't too highly rated by cricketers either.

Basically CA are appeasing the players, and in all likelihood the test squad won't contain anyone from WA (unless someone obvious has skipped my mind).

Allan Border has been pumping up Cameron Green's tyres for national selection - don't write the young fella off yet.
