The road to the prelim
The Dragons won the S32 minor premiership and comfortably beat the Furies in the qualifying final, to earn a week off.
The Roys finished second in the H & A, but lost a thrilling qualifying final to the Demons. However they then bounced back in a big way, to send the Gumbies packing.

In the rain, the Dragons adapted first, kicking the only 2 goals in the first quarter, and that ended up being the difference. The Roys kicked 5 goals to 3 in the final quarter to fall just short. A Swallow and T2B_ kicked 3 each for the Dragons, while Mooch kicked 5 and Wosh and Barrels kicked 2 each for the Roys. Strigoi led the Dragons with 21 possies, while her opponent Wosh lead the Roys with 27 possies. Fun fact: the Roys had more possessions, tackles and inside 50s but the Dragons were more efficient.

Wosh vs Strigoi
Strigoi has arguably been the form ruckman (is that sexist these days - maybe I should say ruckperson) of the competition. So if Wosh can lower her colours this week, it could go a long way towards helping the Roys reach their first grand final since S25.
JackNah_8 vs Bonz
Bonz had 10 scoring shots (6:4) in the Dragons' qualifying final win over the Furies, so JackNah_8 will have her work cut out, trying to contain him. Maybe she should take a tennis racquet onto the ground, and hit him over the head with it while he's not looking. However the Dragons full forward represents a huge hurdle for the Roys defence, and he must be stopped if they want to conquer the minor premiers.
Mooch vs Pie 4 Life
If one set of defenders may struggle to contain a talented forward line, then the same can certainly be said at the other end of the ground. Mooch seems to be winning Fred Medals for fun these days, and the Dragons defence (particularly his direct opponent Pie 4 Life) may very well have their hands full with him on Sunday.
Dingster vs Stoods
Experts keep telling us that the winning midfield usually wins the game, so this key match up could be critical in determining which team progresses to the big dance.
TedDougChris vs Mooresome
Which of these two sits on the bench better than the other? It could very well determine which team reaches the grand final. Actually, that's just silly..........
