I hope this doesn't make me sound like a PETA activist, but I love my Cat Lolly so much, but she has now reached an age where is becoming a huntress (not for food but for sport mainly) and I always feel upset when she catches a mouse and brings them inside. I have saved 2 from her clutches this week and let then outside and barred her from killing them. Alas I was too late for one critter, but I do hope I saved the other little one, and it was a small one, my heart just melted when i got it out and it was shaking with terror.
I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but when I look at how scared that poor mouse was,I still cannot comprehend how human beings can willingly hurt or hunt animals for some line of sadistic, psychotic pleasure or money.
Makes me so effin angry.
Not ashamed to admit i cried over that poor little mouse I couldn't save in time, and I just turned 42 years old.
Yeah I am a sap (and not ashamed of it, one bit)
Anyhow let's go Roys !!!
You are going down Dragons !!

Sorry think this post may be a little too on the edge for the thread.
Will go back to posting innocent comics shortly.

Just note that cats are predictors so it is in their nature to hunt.
In fact many cats actually hunt and bring their prey inside as a kind of offering/ to show your appreciation of their owner (or alternately they feel you are useless and have to hunt for you).
If I were you, make sure you can't be seen when disposing/ removing the catch as it might offend your pet.
Yeah I realize that mate, it's in their instinct to hunt, had cats all my life, it's also icky if they leave half eating mice carcasses inside (or outside) as presents (I know they want to be praised a lot, vanity thy name is felines)
Anyhow I opened up a new can of tuna for her and she forgotten about it, purred for me soon after, so it's all good
Your cat is doing what comes natural. You can’t stop them. You share your food with them; they are doing the same when they bring things home to you. Lolly is a good provider for her family. Predators traditionally (are able to) catch the sick, old, or weak. It would be nice to see White go out in style with a medal.
I’m disappointed the NHL players won’t be participating, but that will make it a more interesting competition on a grass roots level. Old-fashioned Olympics
The downhill is delayed due to weather. Already.
I do like the luge and bobsled along with the skiing and newer inclusions. They all take a lot of courage to just get on the course.

I’ve owned two cats in my life - both excellent mousers. I swear the one was a serial killer in previous life…but she was the best cat ever, so loving and friendly.
Be glad she will keep the pests away.
They are using COVID as their get out clause, saying they cant risk it etc.Yeah i dont think we will see nhl players unless we get a Southern hemisphere Olympics which is unlikely only other chance is olympics in north america and they will want to put on a show at home like they did for vancouver.
Its a shame because other than afl i do think ice hockey at the highest level is the best sport to watch
They want to keep them healthy for their own NHL season. $$ So many players are out at any given time, disrupting the season. They are using COVID as their get out clause, saying they cant risk it etc.
I tried rescuing a few critters once in a while. It never worked. My mother went with me when taking the cat to the vet, and she told him what I was doing. He told me that I really shouldn’t handle them, diseases…that kind of stuff. He suggested I become a vet or work at the zoo if I wanted to take care of animals.True, if it was a rat or a big sized mouse, I would have let her kill it, but it was just so small and scared and terrified.
Mind you I am the type who feels guilty if I accidentally step on a snail lol
Yes because I know when comparing our careers, he's the one that's forgottenPoor Ljp86. Always the forgotten Dragon.
Well for starters I'd be recommending a new Cattery. Not sure why they've let snails and turtles bunk with the cats...Has anyone ever been successful with getting valid advise from Pie 4 Life ?

Dogs think everything is a squeaky toy. When it stops squeaking or moving, they lose interest. I’ve learned a lot about dogs over the past few years since moving here. Never around them before. My dogs kill birds for fun rather than a food source. Just leave the dead thing lying there in the yard.
Mine are too precious for that.Dogs think everything is a squeaky toy. When it stops squeaking or moving, they lose interest. I’ve learned a lot about dogs over the past few years since moving here. Never around them before.
They actually do eat their own throw-up!
Ahh the duality of Pie 4 LifesCan you also confirm which varient of Pie 4 Life the Dragon's currently have?

Did I make the cut?Ahh so much more comfy now that I have peeps from both teams on ignore.
Anyhoo, Dragons or Roys on Sunday? We'll be at the BJO. fitzroybowiedog has brought back the splendour and the despondency! I think we can do it, but I can't know for sure. It's also important to remember that it's only Round 1 and teams very commonly start off crap then fire up and make finals every season so overall this is the least intense part of the season.
I think so, yes!Did I make the cut?
