okeydoke7 was finishing up as admin, Jhye Clark 13 only played 2 games for the Geelong Wolves (Gumbies) before realising he had made a huge mistake and walked out, and spam was not a thing as 1000+ post match threads outside of grand finals were a rarity, 2000+ posts in a match thread had never occurred.

Those were the days.

You can blame spookism for ruining it all and starting the normalisation of spam in the SFA.

Even the almighty okeydoke7 fell into spam, with his alter ego Spammydoke7 making two appearances before retiring, much like Jhye Clark 13 did with the Wolves.

Anyway, back on topic - make me admin Kennedy Parker.

Well you see back in Season 20, spookism recruited a horrible rookie poster named Close Contest who in his second game attempted to spam gifs even after the match had ended in order to get the thread to 2000 posts for the very first time in SFA history. The thread had to be LOCKED at 1961 posts to stop that nonsense.

Then they proceeded to post 200+ posts in the next 2 weeks which was absolutely unheard of at the time. The spam was contagious and the rest of the Rats followed suit, turning into the Spamrats who were essentially the first ever 'spam' team providing the template for the Furies, the Bears, the Dragons and Bombers , then eventually the rest of the comp to go the same direction.

If I were captain, I would've delisted Close Contest after the second game and the league would be in a completely different place today.

This is all victim blaming.
