Soz, I should have posted the original released in 1981.
If you were a teenager back then you would comprehend my posting of the ironic punk piss take on piss up's that the Dead Kennedy's wrote about.
Nouvelle Vague's re-release doubles down on the irony, presenting a sophisticated piss take on the piss take of a piss up.

I'm certain the incumbent B-Footy musicologist par excellence 3KZ is Football will endorse this etymology, having lived in that hallowed epoch also.
Here posted, the Dead Kennedy's metaphorical writing about tourism released in 1979, relished for it's prescience amongst other core values held at the time:

Thanks Pamcake1,

There were two versions of this song, the single release and the track the appeared on the album, Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables. The same was true of California Über Alles, their first single. I’ve got both original singles and the album and I prefer the singles versions to those on the album, but it’s all great music.

For those who want to play along at home, here’s a great tutorial, but there are easier punk songs to learn. This still takes some beating as one of the all time great alternative guitar tracks of the era. East Bay Ray was a master of the demented and menacing surf guitar sound. His playing perfectly matched the bands lyrical critique of 1960’s American capitalism and consumer culture.

I'm copying this over to the RZSS as a legacy post as I don't believe it should wither on the vine of ephemerality herein.

Looks safe enough to try on a Hawk, but could backfire if done on a Bomber.
