Yup. Punch cards, manually programmed with a paper clip. That's how I learned ALGOL in '79.Some of us were first adopters of computers in early years high school maths lessons. in the late 70s, that were based on bits of rectangular cards you punched holes in to signify some form of binary code.
I had a manila folder in sixth form that I collected funny bits and pieces in, and its kinda followed me around since. Opened it up to have a look when I moved in May and a couple of chads fell out.
Edit: These posts aren't one-upmanship, it just highlights how those of us of a certain age have common ground because that's how it was back then.
