Well here it is folks, the highly anticipated Round 1 season 39 Flathead of the week award.

This week Mt Buller played a team stacked full of flatheads. Oh they came out strong. Take young Supercheapgiants as an example. He was an early contender no doubt but just couldn’t maintain the faltheadery throughout the week. It’ll come with time but for this week , no bueno.

Next flathead wannabe to step up was bone2468 with a classic retort that would come back to bite him after some mad bantz from yours truly regarding the lesson I was going to teach him as a fullback. Classic flathead response “There’s not enough baby oil in the world that could prepare you for this bone” The young fella was dragged after 8 mins game time on the Yak. Which brings us to our next candidate, young DinoSoar. I’ll just pop this here and we’ll move on to our winner

• In what became a bit of a clinic, Yakker massacred DinoSoar. - 79m from 17 to 96.

So, though there was some strong competition none could match the flatter than flat flatheadedness of the great beez

That’s right, Round 1 Flathead of the week goes to a stalwart of the game with one simple post….

Really, I don’t even like chutzpah, it repeats on me. I love me some Hungarian sausage and the odd piece of chorizo but you can have that chutzpah all to yourself Mr beez

What can I say, the flatheads were schooled up this week ladies and gentlemen. Round two saw Mt Buller take on the OOB’s at the Snow Dome this week and though the cold water usually shuts our flatty friends down I can confirm that this week it had the absolute opposite effect. 146 pages of epic flatheadery. So many options but I’ll limit it to the top 3. Let’s start with our first contender -
Irish BlueBagger : though on a different time zone our mate from the other side of the world posted like he was in another dimension. 253 posts at last count and some of them were more than one word too

There were many more flathead follies that ensued however there was a time when the FHOTW was in jeopardy for the young fella when King Tenz came storming into the thread acting like a 3 metery, it was shaky ground for the lad so I asked him to drop by the office and I gave him a pep talk. This new FH King Tenz is now what you’re up against son, this bloke’s head is so flat you Old Boys can play your weekly lawn bowls carnival on his flat head . Now I don’t mean to discourage you mate, I’m merely pointing out you have some competition, strong competition, and you need to address this short coming before you become some wannabe has been, coulda been leggy doing hair loss commercials or such. You feeling me mate?

Well that did the job. King Tenz was left in the boys wake as he got the spirit level out and made sure his head was flatter than the salt flats of Utah.

So there you have it , congratulations Robertio , I know you’re proud of this accomplishment and so you should be.
