No, thats the interpretation of the rules. Don't get me wrong, it had to be 50. They pay that every time, and if they didn't for us, I'd be pissed. But it shouldn't be the interpretation.

He wasn't time wasting. He tried to give the ball back quickly, as he's required to do. Dunkley called for it, received it and immediately asked for 50m. To me, that's staging.

It was the right result for consistency, and we will all happily take it... but we also know what it feels like on the other end of that call. The player calling for the ball, knowing it isn't theirs, is a dick.

I get it. But the fact that is missing is that the ump clearly said, while GWS still had the ball, "Give it to Oscar". He then gave it to the giy who is 20cm shorter. Not smart.

Part of the reason we kick for goal so poorly is we take low percentage shots from bad positions. I have no issue with him passing that one off, he just didn't kick it well enough.
