It's as close to offering absolutely zero influence on the game as I have ever seen.

Lol, you're seriously fixating over the output of a long term project player who is more than likely our number 22 on any given day.

Not the reason we're winning or losing games & there won't be much difference if you slot Smith (either of them) or Ballenden into his spot.

He won't make it. Easy call to make. Obvious as day light. We can spend years wasting time on him Mason Cox style though.
They might not make any difference, but at the worst they are par. Not talking about Smith either. He's another who hasn't and won't make it. Ballenden though, got to see first.

They're more than carrying the load. Maybe we're seeing a McStay in 2019 and 2020 situation
Yeah, they have too. No other choice. Once McStay went down that was it. Because we had Daniher as the sole tall forward option, because Fullarton may as well not even be out there. I'd like to see Ballenden tried and see if he actually would make an attempt at doing something.

Yep we should just play a man down

I'm not tossing Fullarton out with the garbage but on what I've seen Ballenden could be a lot better.

Fullarton, Birchall and Andrews were the biggest passengers last week. Honestly, Fagan should have been more cut throat with his selections, rather than reward mediocrity. Not even bothering to watch this game as I know the bulldogs will smash us.

Did Tom dunk on you in school or something?

Don't watch it then. No one is forcing you to.

Very safe to say we are planning to swing a defender forward and Iā€™m very very interested to see who it is!
Wouldnā€™t be surprised to see Diz and possibly birch as late outs. Why bring in Ah Chee and Lester nowā€¦ surprises are great! My guess is for that to happen and possibly adams forward. Harris, Payne and Lester as key backs with kiddy taking birchs role and Ah Chee up forward! Surely

I'll text you at half time in case you want to change your mind

Wouldn't hurt Fagan to actually admit that his gameplan needs changing or players who underperformed last week should have been dropped. The entire football industry called out andrews last week for his insipid performance, and he somehow remains in the team. Same as Birchall. Fagan needs to stop playing to his favourites, because it is our undoing.

but according to some of our one eyed fans he is the next coming of Jesus and couldn't possibly make a mistake. So far our finals performances have been rather poor, but let's ignore that. He's done great rebuilding us and taking us to where we now are, but I have serious questions about whether he can take us to that next step. Obviously hope to be proven wrong. But so far, judging by our finals ..... After all, last year, we couldn't have had it any better suited for us to win it.

Andrews is one of my favourite players, but he isn't anywhere near the player he was last year. It's likely due to his injury, but his game last week was also by far the worst performance of his career. And it was on the big stage where we needed him, and he completely let the team down. Fagan should have punished him for that, yet he remains untouchable. It's completely baffling. I only hope that Fagan throws him in the forward line, because as of right now, he's a complete liability in the defense.

Mason Cox had the game of his career in a crunch final.

You canā€™t help but be disappointed with the selections this week. As much as Dev and Payne are good ins, playing funny buggers with emergencies is something Iā€™ve never been a fan of. Either Ah Chee and Lester are fit and should be named or they arenā€™t and shouldnā€™t be emergencies.
We arenā€™t going to confuddle our opposition by springing a later changeā€¦

I figure they aren't fit right now, but we are hoping they are ready to go Saturday night. Lots of massage, needling and pressure chamber time between now and then.

But what would the role be down forward? If it's just smash a pack, don't get outmarked & bring the ball to ground I think I'd rather Payne move forward. Adams looks solid down back, and lets be honest he's really needed there if our other backs aren't 100% fit.
