Worsfold’s demeanor has changed dramatically in the past 7 days. Get the feeling that he has been partial to everyone having their say over the past 2 1/2 years, and has now pulled rank and said now it’s my way. Dare I say it, but there may have some really tough conversations during the week. They played today the way Worsfold played every one of his games. Hard, committed and accountable.
And those reporters had better be turning by doing their research going forward.

Standard nothing given by Woosh in the presser. Been the same all year.

But if the team plays like that he can do whatever the **** he wants in press conferences.

But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, his communication with supporters needs to improve significantly. He can’t just give people nothing and treat them with disdain. For example, denying there was anything different in today’s performance is ludicrous, a blind man could see the team was unrecognisable from recent weeks.

If he’s got the shits with the media and he’d rather do that in videos then ok, but they’ve been a joke too. He needs to lift.

Why?

I'm not an advocate of people being a dick for the sake of it, but after some of the coverage recently I'm also not at all about to criticise Worsfold for giving the media nothing.

Media are also banging on about how press conferences are about delivering messages to fans and to players.

Id suggest that some people would be a bit bemused that it took someone losing their job for the players to start putting in the appropriate effort. As am I to be honest.

His friend and senior assistant just got effectively sacked and now the media and others are trumpeting some big change and the Dons being back.
Hes not an idiot he knows that this was effort based and it means precisely zero if we dont maintain that level going forward. Good to see a lot on here think this too.

I think the way he handled that presser was warranted and pretty much as expected.

"I dunno, how many tackles did we have? I'm not sure"

"How many possessions we have?"

"How many did smack kick early?"

I reckon he was being a contrarion on purpose after Matt Thompson said he asked too many questions of the media midweek to deflect our issues

He was just asking the media dumb question after question

Gold.

Tony Jones had a massive sook just before.

They really do think they are the only avenue for club/supporter interaction. More than happy to keep giving these vultures nothing, even when we win.

some sections of the media believe the game would not exist without them.
Most.. nearly all.
Its like none of us would have a clue whatsoever without them telling us what they want us to think..
That's a well structured sentence.

For all I care he could curse in Swedish in his presse and I wouldn’t care as long as the team is performing.

I think that the point Worsfold was making has been largely missed and to me it ties in perfectly with the biggest event that occurred during the week.

On Crunch Time yesterday Andy McGrath gave an interview of amazing quality during which he said that Heppell had made a point of getting to development group meetings and apologising on behalf of the senior players for leaving it to the development group to set standards (which the seniors had failed to meet).

Clearly the biggest thing that happened during the week is that the senior players got the kick in the arse that they needed - who that came from doesn't really matter.

For all of the bullshit about tactics and game plans, the team came out and hunted the ball, gang tackled for what felt like the first time in about 12 months and we then, funnily enough, became a 'forward pressing side'.

That's Worsfold's point, isn't it? He's not going to celebrate his players doing what they should do on one occasion. That's the first game in setting a standard of intensity and just in case there was some doubt no senior coach has even been concerned, not in the slightest, with the analysis of his team by media.

The one that we're shit and need to change the side.

5 changes not enough?
