The Yea boys would be looking forward to this weeks clash against Seymour. Bit of banter last time the two sides met. Will P.Mckenna be playing???

Any thoughts of an all star team, or a team to be playing to represent the SDCA at melbourne C/W??

Plenty of good cricket getting played at the moment by some guys out there??

Are you up for it this year Bazz, i would like to see a few of the young guys getting there hands up, Cunningham and Evans from Yea, Ingham from Broadford Coyle and Bergowicze from Eastern Hill, The two Wheeler boys from Avenel. thats 7 add a couple of seasoned campainers and we have a good side. Why is all rep cricket 1 dayers?

Was a bit crook yesty & didn't get around to see any cricket - has anyone got some scores from across the grades???

tallarook beat broadford chasing down 170 odd with an over to spare. subba 60 odd not out and brucey 50 odd

Avenel defeated Eastern Hill.

Eastern Hill had Avenel reeling at 5 for 60, then some fine lower order batting from 'Jacko' Wheeler and 'Tingy' Tangay, saw Avenel bowled out for 165.
Eastern Hill batted well, but too slow and ended up 6 down for around 140.

'Bucket' Loraine bowled well for the Hill claiming 4-35 from his 9 in his 1st A-Grade appearance for the Hill, and "Luckey" Nolan made 44 for the Swans, whilst Sean Pearce took 2 wickets for the swannies and Robbie 'Vince Catogio' Dorria made 30 for the Hill.

I could be Phantom, depending on work, but i think Coyley is keen, and Dallas is bearly able to play on a saturday let alone through the week.

Melbourne C/W is alwyas a great week for guys who love playing cricket.

I was hoping that someone would put up a side, perhaps in batting order of who you thought would be in a 'dream team' per say.

Ill have a shot at it:-

1. Lachy Watts
2. Glen Loraine
3. Rod McLeod
4. Paul Arandt (c)
5. Lachy Atkins
6. Shaun Pearce
7. Michael Enrico
8.Trav Blackwell
9. Blake Coyle
10.Leigh Irving
11. Dan Evans

A prety handy side on paper, perhaps a few more insights to other players who are going well, evryone is ope to have a go at it.

Not a bad effort Joseph. I would slip X. Youngman (Roy/Sey/E'Hill/Kilm) in at 6and if I was doing a full squad of 14-15 for Country Week then R. McLeod (Kilm) would have to be added, along with J. Tarran or L. Irving (T'rook) and perhaps an Eastern Hill bloke (although I dunno who as I aint them play hardly in 2 seasons).

One day final this weekend l think it will be close Avenels batting has not been super impressive of late but it only takes one innings or in Avenels case one bloke to tee off and its a different ball game,Kilmore have been consistent so far but if Mcleod fails anything could happen as they seem to build there innigs around him most weeks.

Avenel by 38 runs.:D

After recent talk on rep squads, did the SDCA send a side back to Bendigo CW this year?

Will be a very tight finish for 2-5th in both grades. cricket the real winner

Tallarook won the toss and batted at Yea. Bowled out for 193 in the 83rd over I think (are you meant to bowl more than 80 if you have the time?). Subba got 73 and for Yea Brad Watts took 5 fa. Nice day of cricket on a belter of a ground.

In the Sun I see Broadford made 250 against Alex, a good effort by those boys. Avenel got 301 against Seymour who are 0/4 in reply and finally Eastern Hill were bowled out for 144 against Kilmore who are 4/94 in their chase.

Anyone know of any decent individual performances?
