is there a website where we can get the ladders and results aswell as the draw for each grade.

very tight in a grade with 3 teams fighting for the 2 spots...if broady or the rook manage to snag an upset could easily see alex drop out of the 4 if they happen to drop a game....would be good to see broadford up there considering everybody had them pencilled in for the spoon at the start of the season

It's been bloody hard for the young kids, losing 4 bats (Douglas, Cavigan, Neilson, Blackwell) from last season's top order was always gunna make things tough but to their credit they're having a dip under Redda & Knackers and thats all ya can ask I spose. I notice every week they seem to cop 3-4 changes, missing from the side that got 250 against Alex were Redda, opener Mitch Collier, Jimmy Ingham and Andy O'Connor dunno if they're back but the lads have a tough run home I think it's Avenel, Eastern Hill and Kilmore?????

Seymour lads did well today knocking of Albury/Wodonga... after been sent in Seymour made 7/218 off 50 Ryan Akers (Yea) made a good 80 basically setting up the win and young Benny Barrow (Kilmore) 40no batted well after a middle order clasped to ensure a good total was posted. Trav Blackwell (Kilmore) made a quick fire 36 towards the end as well. The bowled Albury/Wodonga out for 188 Blake Coyle (Eastern Hill) bowl well and picked up 3 for about 35 and the rest were shard around. Rod McLeod (Kilmore) bowl particularly well at one stage having 1/6 off 5 with Paddy McKenna (Yea) when the run rate was climbing.

anybody got an up to date ladder?? the one on the vic cricket site doesnt seem to get upgraded that often and the it is different from the one in the seymour telegraph??

SDCA won again today beating Grassmere Cricket Association. After slumping to 7-80 Trav Blackwell (Kilmore) and Marcus Hill (Alexandra) put on a commanding partnership that saw Seymour finish with 253. Both bats finished unbeaten Blackwell on 97*and Hill on 83*. Young Dan Evens (Yea) also batted well in the top order. Grassmere started the chase well before losing wickets at 1/33, 2/33 3/35 4/49 5/72 6/78 7/80 8/83 before ending up all out for 160 in the 47th over. Marcus Hill bowled well picking up a couple wickets as did Brock Boddington (Seymour) and Blake Coyle (Eastern Hill). A win tomorrow against Yarra Valley at Brighton will guarantee a finals birth on friday.

those ladders must be up the shit mouch because avenels B grade were on 42 points before last round and they beat seymour outrite and only got 6 points so not sure whats goin on there!

oh ok...i didnt realise that they had won outright...in the paper up here it said they were only 7 or 8 down..if thats the case then they would be 52 points not 42

SDCA will feature in the Country Week Grand Final tomorrow after a close fought win today against Yarra Valley. Batting first SDCA were again in early strife being 4/37 after sri lankan capped test player Ishara Amarasinghe ripped though the top order claiming 4/12 off 10. And again Marcus Hill (Alexandra) and Ben Barrow (Kilmore) steadied the ship before Ben was out for about 20. Trav Blackwell (Kilmore) also batted well with Hill before falling for 19. Hill finished with a briliant 73. SDCA finished with 9/168 off 50. Yarra Valley batted well for most of the afternoon but lost wickets at key moments to eventually require 6 runs off 6 overs with 1 wicket in hand. Blackwell came up trumps and picked up the last wicket to finish with 4. Paddy McKenna (Yea) picked up 3 and Dan Sowden (Kilmore) got a briliant runout thoughing from his position behinf the stump to knock over the the bowlers ends wicket. Amarasinghe also played well for a 60 with the bat. SDCA will play Horsham tomorrow at Malvern

SDAC defeated Horsham yesterday to win the Division 4 Country Week Final. After winning the toss and sending Horsham in Seymour were in a bit of trouble when Horsham were 3/100 after 20 overs with a key bat smoking them to all parts. Paddy McKenna (Yea) Marcus Hill (Alexandra) Blake Coyle (Eastern Hill) and Brock Boddington (Seymour) all shared the wickets with 2 each and Ryan Ackers (Yea) ran out key batsman for Horsham before he had a chance to face a ball. Seymour pulled Horsham back in and eventually bowled them our for 149. Openers Ryan Ackers (Yea) and Lachy Watts (Tallarook) started the chase very well before Ackers suffered at interesting LBW call that saw young Dan Even (Yea) to the crease. Watts also appeared to cop a wroug call when given out caught and bowled to a ball that didnt seem to carry back to the bowler. Marcus Hill (Alexandra) probably the best performed cricketer SDCA had during the week was out quickly to another doubtful LBW call before Paddy McKenna (Yea) and Even batted well to finish of the chase in style. McKenna finished with a well made 40 odd no out and was awarded Man of the Match.
Congratulation Boys you have performed well all week and the win is a fitting result to the work put in by the old boys Ray Cowell and Ken Daniels.

Thanks for those reports, much appreciated :thumbsu:

Good job keeping us informed this week Mouche :thumbsu: After witnessing several soft dismissals this arvo by your mob at Chittick Park one woulda thought half your blokes were involved in the weeks play, or at least last nights celebrations at The Red Lion ;)

Kilmore ended up 202 against Seymour? Broadford had the Hill 4/30 before that man Hager remained unconquered in the Hills all out 180 odd. Tallarook dismissed Alex for 198 (I think) and are 1/20 odd in the chase. Dunno about Avenel v Yea?

Heard Avenel were bowled out for 130 and then had Yea about 5/40. Few tired boys at kilmore doona after a 5 days of cricket Rodda in particular wasnt at his best...thinking blacky was rather pleased that he won the toss wouldnt imagine him, benny and rod would be particularly useful if Seymour batted all day

Thanks for your daily reports mouche, top class effort by the SDCA boys, and a fitting result for Trav Blackwell as well, he has got some passion back into rep cricket, and his work in getting a good mix of older and younger players together should keep us strong for years to come.
I hope he keeps going for a couple more years, if he does i can see us knocking on the door of the top divisions of this comp. i am bloody rapt.

I think Alexandra will only be on 55 points in the B Grade Mouche as they had a bye in that last round and would have only got 6 points not 10. Pretty sure a bye is just 6 points not maximum results like a forfeit would be.

im not sure either way mate but i know kilmore had the bye in round 2 and since all the other games were washed out they only got 3 points so i figured that its maximum points for the round but that might be just because it was a whole round washout

Yeah I'm not 100% sure either but would have thought it would be just 6 as otherwise it would be a disadvantage to sides that had a bye on a one day game weekend. Anyone know ???

Righto lads one round to go, Mouche can we get some up to date ladders and the scenario's that can effect ladder position's for the semi's??? I hear Seymour, after gaining the points from the Yea clash are within reach of 4th should they beat the "Rook" is this true?

Howd the weekend's cricket go? Im told Grakky and that yapping Walsh copper bloke from Kilmore clashed at Chittick Park, someone care to give us a blow by blow description. I remember one day at Tallarook when I used to umpire Walshy giving me a torrid time, appealing in the old kilmore fashion when they weren't even close, gave me heaps that day

Is it right that not one of the Seymour sides could get a Cgrade for the weekend ,8000 people and couldnt find 33 people /kids to play

Neither could Tallarook Im told, worrying times for the good old SDCA. The sooner we all 20/20 or one day cricket the better

I think the ladder will look like this going into the last round for B Grade

Nagambie 68
Kilmore 63
Avenel 62
Alexandra 61
Thornton 55

Top 2 look safe if they win this week. The big game is Alex v Avenel as the loser could go out if Thornton can get an outright against Seymour. Hopefully the weather is ok because it makes for another good finish to the b grade season
