he had the same view as u mr larkin also were u out on the feild to hear what was goin on?[/quote
Forgive the lateness of my reply as i went away for the long w/end . If you knew what view i had in regards to the incident in question then you would know that i was not on the field at any stage to hear any comments that were made, that was not the point i was trying make. I simply didn't think what Pearcy did was as bad as having a go at the the umpire which is and should always be TOTALLY uaccecptable. In closing i would like to add that i agreed 100% with Mick Browns decision to not face up while it was raining that hard and probably the umpires fault for not going off a bit sooner, PHEW! happy with that nogoo99?

Joey do u no where pyalong r playing on the weekend would love to come up on the weekend but were in finals ourselves on the weekend

Have heard from 3-4 different people since the weekend that Pucka may be a chance to forfeit both of their finals due to players unavailable thru work. I think there was a SDCA executive meeting either Monday or last night, can anyone confirm or deny this as it would be a shame if this was the case.

Can at least confirm that Pucka have pulled out of the C Grade "consolation" finals. (Teams finishing 5th to 8th playing for the old D Grade shield.) Broadford to take their place.

Thanks Nomad, not the way ya wanna get into the finals but it's better scenario than having on eslip thur via a forfeit. Let's hope Pucka can put together a strong B-grade side as they've had quite a good year and deserve their place in the top 4, especially with big Lindsay Black leading the way :thumbsu:

Can't believe doona has done it again! Last year he took a young blokes spot in the finals and it looks like this yr he has qualified for the C Grade finals and will break some young guys heart again!!

What an uproar this will create if broadford get up and win the C Grade finals!!

Saw in the review yeaterday Pyalong finished 5th, so that will give them a home final they will be playing for the D grade shield.

Not real sure sol, i would say he would be unlucky to miss a spot but there is alot of competition for spots specially in the B grade this yr!! From my point of view i hope he sneaks in for a game.:p

Surely Doona cant be seriously putting his hand up for a game in the C-Grade Finals can he?

He's been busy chasing money all season umpiring, now he wants back into the team, once they have done all the hard work to make the Finals...surely not...

Might be some big selections to be made at Broady during the week, Doona to possibly steal a spot from a deserving youngster? Mumfy to come straight into the A Grade team after one game back in the B's after missing most the season?

As for Boony's chance at making a finals team at the rook - ive heard a few potential teams getting tossed around by some B Graders, they dont seem to feature Boony, but thats from guys with no pull around the club like Leggo (AKA The Postman)....:)

What's this? They wouldn't would they? Could they? Ah Doona say it aint so. Surely a club like Broadford wouldn't lower themselves to bringing in a smokey for the finals at the expense of someone who has played all year.
Would they??? LOL.:D

Wouldn't really know what Joe's chances are Sol, but I'd guess slim at best for the semi finals. Strangely enough, due to a possible unavailability he may be a better show for the GF should both sides make it. Mind you I'm not a selector and neither are Jazzy, Joey or Big Show. As for Postman, who knows?

I know the rooks went to QLD last yr, any other clubs doing any end of season type trip this yr?

That being the case would it not make sense to leave selection issues to be debated by the selectors at the appropriate time in the appropriate place?

Forget the Joe Pollock saga. Whats goin on at Broadford Doon? The rumour mill sugests that Jazzy could be right on the money here and what's more my spies are tell'n me that the young bloke to miss out to make way for the great man may have infact started the year in A grade. Geez Doon is it really worth it just to add a D grade medallion to the trophy cabinet and surely a Kid who the selectors backed in to play A Grade couldn't miss out on a spot in a D Grade Final could he?

Relax fella's I played one game this season due to not being able to umpire a two dayer so Im not qualified. Cant believe I have stolen Joey Pollocks thunder on here - Howie is just returning fire on his old Broady mate to take the focus off the possible Rook B-grade's 4th stumble in a row, and to gee up chad bonney whom the broady c's are playing :D

I did begin the 04/05 season 2 weeks late due to a holiday and basically got injured and didn't make it back into the A-grade runners'-up side but got a B-grade premiership medal as consolation. Last year I played only after Xmas and the A's went from top to missing finals in that time.

Besides Im gunna take much joy in firing a few Rook boys out LBW at Harley Hammond Reserve this weekend, and then if the Rooks make the granny in the B's doing it all again :p

Just kidding lads, Ive hung up the wide brim hat, no finals for me . . . . . . the end. Like Adam Howard us umpires reputations are made in March also, unfortunately I now have to wait until next year :(
