In your Win Ratio Ladder you have a club on 4 wins under clubs with less.

How do minus points affect a win ratio?
Also minus points have zero to do with Wins, so your winning percentage is wrong as i posted.

I appologise if English and maths are not your first language, no, no i don't.

WOW! He actually explained this to you perfectly. OK, I am going to type this slowly so the person reading it to you will read it at a rate you understand.

Your position on the ladder is determined by the number of POINTS you have NOT the number of wins. The win ratio is the number if POINTS you have won compared to the number of points you COULD have won.

The team with 10 points COULD Have won 24 points.
The teams with 12 points ABOVE THEM could have won 28 points.
12/28 is a bigger number than 10/24.

Please read this to fumbler out loud and slowly. Show him a calculator if necessary.
Then read him the numbers.

I literally have no idea what you're talking about.

Falconista posts the ladder up top then posts the exact same ladder under win loss ratio. What's the point of having the win ratio ladder heading at all?

When I see 'win-loss ratio ladder' I expect to see it in order of actual win-loss, without penalities applied.

When I see 'win-loss ratio ladder' I expect to see it in order of actual win-loss, without penalities applied.
No, the win ratio is based on the points per game. Some teams have played 7 games and some have played 6.

Imagine a scenario where a team had played 6 and won six and had 24 points.
Another team had played 9 and won 7 and was on 28 points.

The team on 6 wins on a ratio ladder has a 100% (24/24) would be on top, The team with 7 wins (1 more win) has a ratio of 28/36 = 85.7% they would be below the other team despite having more wins.

The complication of this seasons ladder is it has to take in to account penalties.

Penalties aside if you had no byes there wouldn't be a ratio ladder as there'd be no need.

Nah the purpose of a win/loss ratio ladder is purely and only to give a chance to see the ladder without the differing numbers of byes attached to all the clubs, at midpoints of the season.

Righto.

The Old Boys have a 4W 2L record, meaning a win ratio of 66.7%. Meaning under the "win-loss ratio ladder" they should be sitting equal 3rd, right behind whoever the HELL the Phoenix are on percentage.

Why post the exact same ladder, twice?

Look we got a "SEASON 36 LADDER AFTER ROUND SEVEN" ladder and then a "Win Ratio Ladder After Round Seven" ladder. I want the REAL ladder with penalties applied under the first heading, then the REAL win-loss ratio ladder posted under the 2nd, without penalties.

Otherwise just straight up remove the win-loss ratio ladder all together.

Wow!

sigh Look, it's quite simple. The extra ladder is there for when there is a discrepancy due to byes affecting the ladder position. It happens all the time.

Here is the ladder form round 11 in the VFL this year which had multiple byes throughout the season.

Several teams have moved position because the ladder changes depending on whether you have had a bye or not.

Tell me when I'm telling lies though, campaigner.
