sigh Look, it's quite simple. The extra ladder is there for when there is a discrepancy due to byes affecting the ladder position. It happens all the time.

Here is the ladder form round 11 in the VFL this year which had multiple byes throughout the season.

grumbleguts is right - the win/loss ratio ladder is specifically intended to smooth out how byes can taint the accuracy of a ladder amid-seasons.

However King Tenz is not entirely wrong either, as the semantics of the wording "Win/Loss" for this ladder does not envision that such a thing as penalty points might exist. The ladder is more of a "Points Percentage" ladder than it is, literally, a "Wins versus Losses" ladder.

Therefore the only true winner here, is Falconista , because he's getting free views for his LadderTok account.

The Old Boys have a 4W 2L record, meaning a win ratio of 66.7%. Meaning under the "win-loss ratio ladder" they should be sitting equal 3rd, right behind whoever the HELL the Phoenix are on percentage.

Why post the exact same ladder, twice?

Look we got a "SEASON 36 LADDER AFTER ROUND SEVEN" ladder and then a "Win Ratio Ladder After Round Seven" ladder. I want the REAL ladder with penalties applied under the first heading, then the REAL win-loss ratio ladder posted under the 2nd, without penalties.

Otherwise just straight up remove the win-loss ratio ladder all together.

Last season was the first official season of the 'Win Ratio' ladder (having been done unofficially in S34 when the bye returned). As you can see in the example below from round 7 last season, there is precedent in including penalties in the ratio (see Phoenix):



For consistency, as I've started this season with the win ratio ladder, it will continue until the end of the season. If, whoever the admin is in S36 wants me to continue in this role, I'm open to dropping the win ratio ladder entirely due to the issues penalty points bring in skewing the figures.
