Carrum def. Caulfield by about 4 goals after being down all day and only getting up in the last quarter. Pre season training looks like it has paid off with Carrum simply looking like they had more in the tank in the last quarter.

Lyndale were defeated by Hawthorn Amateurs, Reserves by less than a kick and a fair margin in the Seniors.
That being said there were some positives to come out of it, not too many opportunities during the H&A season to throw around the side with no consequences.

CPL - New club. Not enough material to go on. Making the Grand Final in first years speaks for itself.

Dandenong - Off-field basketcase. Showing signs on field.

Mt Waverley - Another off-field basketcase. Can't perform when it counts.

Sandown - Best run club in Div 3. Can't perform when it counts.

South Yarra - Just come down from Div 2 where they've struggled the last few years. Have the worst ground in the SFL.

Black Rock - Went broke chasing a Div 2 flag. Still paying the price. Years away from being competitive.

Yeah he will cost ya, it won't matter who he knows at the club. Anyway isn't he a little busy right now?
 
He's still in the lock up on drug related charges isn't he? good luck to Dandenong this year, lock up all of your possessions and hide your wallets at training boys, and then thank your coach and president for allowing such a person into your club WHEN it does happen again, and let me tell you, it will happen again.

Elvis Alimovski - Very very good player at Oakleigh Districts, shops himself around every season, Played in Eastern League last year. Has already signed to play at Highett and been cleared there this year but now playing at Dandy. Wonder whether his other mates that have signed at Highett will also follow

Unless of course I have the wrong Elvis

There's only one Elvis.

Agree, very good player. Too good to be playing EFL Div 4 or SFL Div 3 for that matter. Shopped himself around last year & enquired at Skye, who collectively as a group said "thanks, but no thanks" to his services. Will be interesting to see if Danilovic follows him to Dandy or not

Hi. Im from a vafa club. Was just wondering what percentage of sfl div3 clubs pay their senior players? Surely there are a few clubs that refuse, or can't afford it ?
 
May as well give CPL the cup now.. Also heard black rock have huge numbers this year, will be interesting to see what they can bring this year. I'll put them top 4.

Numbers are good but really mean jack 5hit in the scheme of it, it's quality that counts not quantity. It only helps when you injuries and you have an abundance of 17 -26 type players on your list.

A lot of clubs pay certain players, obviously key position players, but not a whole senior team! It is hard to attract sponsorship in div 3, but clubs do what they can, with what they got, which makes our division different from others.
