James Harmes (trade) and James Jordan (free agency) will net us two 3rd rounders. The lowest of these 2 picks will get the trade done.

Wouldn't be a pick we would use, so may as well give us a future pick.

And he'll be 29 next season. Plus it's well known our small forwards were there to apply pressure before all else.

That's garbage that his value increases because dees are in the window too. If anything it's decreased because he's supposedly already named his destination club and is out of contract.

3rd rounder.
At that point, it's not worth trading. A pick that worth so little, it's after the points clubs have stopped drafting? It's later than the list spots we have available to use it?

Fine, go to the PSD, if all we're being offered is a pick we can't use and has no value.

Nah, that's fine. Don't need picks we won't use.

Harmes, Tomlinson or picks.

Take your pick.
You do know we are matching the 3 years for McAdam so he is a wanted player, if Melbourne really want him then they will need a suitable trade and McAdam will be expecting this from Melbourne as they are the one who has chased him so at least pick 34 but wouldn't be surprised if we aren't targeting 24, I don't think McAdam mind getting selected in the PSD and get his 3 years from either club ;)

After beating around the bush and making him walk out on the club.

Will be a 3rd rounder for an un contracted 29 year old who’s a role player.

I don’t mind if he goes PSD, the only club to really lose out in this scenario is Adelaide

The latest report is we've up his contract from 2 years to 3 which is what he always wanted and Nicks has indicated he is still a wanted player ;)

Of course Nicks would indicate that but the ship sailed when he was only offered 2 and got the run around instead resulting in him walking out.

Are we really losing out if it's between a 3rd rounder and nothing?

Depends on your trading strategy I guess? Who knows what other deals it could form a part of.

Few years ago pick 84 changed hands 6 times and didn’t get used in the end.
Third rounder won't be used by us and I doubt we'll be able to trade it on, hence we might as well lose him for nothing. Melbourne have the chance for a plug in goal scorer that they desperately need. They have more to lose from this.

Why can’t you trade it on?

How do Dees have more to lose? That makes no sense at all, we arnt the one with a player walking out.

Walk out? He asked to be traded like all the other players who asked to be traded. Did they also "walk out" on their club lol.

In your scenario we're losing McAdam for dirt cheap whether we send him to PSD or accept your offer. We're losing him either way (unless he prefers accepting our reported 3 year offer over PSD). Dees have the chance to grab a player they need in an extremely thin market for the price of a late 2nd, but they miss out if we prefer the PSD route.

Just saw a rumour Adelaide want a player in return so take your pick from Jordan, Tomlinson or Harmes or any other of our out of contract dudds.

So will be similar situation to other players asking for trade then, the club of the player asking for the trade will find the best trade outcome. Now if that player was really pushed out so walked out on the club then we will be accepting unders and possibly even nothing ;)

It has almost no value to anyone.

The Dees have a player they need that they could lose. All the Crows have to lose in your scenario is an almost worthless pick.

From the Cross perspective, the player has already gone after he didn't accept our offer.
