Don't start on it from that pathetic angle, the Aussies are no orphans in Test cricket when it comes to poor behaviour, Benn's been a pain in the backside all series, and Roach's reactions after getting Ponting out yesterday were similar in many respects.

Taken in isolation, which is how we should view it, I really can't imagine what was going through Watson's head when he did this, and he should be asked to explain his actions to the match referee, as well as apologise to Gayle for his disrespect.

I haven't yet seen an Australian batsman stand at the wicket for the best part of a minute after being bowled, refusing to leave and dropping the f-bomb at the opposition bowler who bowled him. So poor behaviour isn't just restricted to one country you know.

Fwiw, Watson's behaviour today has been widely condemned here from what I can see - including by me, I thought he behaved like a first-class moron. He's lucky he didn't end up with Gayle's bat embedded in part of his anatomy.

And he's yet to do anything to suggest he's not perfectly capable at test level. At one day level he's class, though, regardless of how much he does or does not turn the ball.

You can have doubts over Hauritz as a test spinner, but I would have thought everyone on here by now would have accepted that Hauritz is actually a fairly good OD spinner...better than Benn at least
