Yarran and Johnson need to be moved on.Too many excuses are made for thes trouble makers.I hope Binnell is not another Mora

Two incidents for MJ in an 11 year career would hardly mean he is a trouble maker. Reckon we've had dozens of blokes in that time period that'd have also done drugs but just didn't get caught.

Jeez any updates on Yarran ? first i heard altercation with family member then i hear a stabbing incident at a bar
would appear that his career at AFL level is over sadly, way too many incidents in a 2-3 year period to ignore and would probably set a standard to the young playing group that enough is enough. I had high hopes that he could improve his off field behaviour like Sonny Walters has done but jeez, what a let down and a waste of talent : (

No updates on Yarran. But it appears that that won't stop you from passing judgement.

Please explain? Where did he mention race?
dimesdimesdimes didn't, and nor did I. Comparing Yarran and Walters is reasonable, as they grew up on the same street. And his posting history is anything but racist.

This is why I assumed there was another (deleted) post.

I just made a comment because we know no more, except that Yarran intends to plead not guilty. Too early to pronounce him a let down and waste of talent.

Shane Yarran and Walters did not grow up on the same street. Chis Yarran is from Midvale as well as Walters. Shane Yarran is from Armadale.

Hope the club stick by him until he's had his day(s) in court. People talking about poor club culture etc couldn't be further off the mark.

Given we have the most indigenous players of any list, I'ld suspect there would be a great deal of empathy for him from the playing group. No doubt there will also be players that think he's a f**khead and should be discarded. All players will learn patience and how to stay focused on what they can control - and that's training hard at the moment. What will be, will be.

Was Shane charged with the glassing incident or is it being investigated and waiting on the outcome?

He has been charged Salim - next hearing is early next year. The circumstances and reporting around the charge suggest the case is based on a statement/statements rather than forensic evidence.

Pure speculation but it is coincidental that the police suddenly have grounds to lay charges 17 months after the incident, and so soon after what is obviously a family dispute that turned physical. Perhaps someone was seeking revenge by speaking to the police.
