Sheffield Shield Final Round

cause they can still make the final if there's a draw in the WA-QLD game (the one thing more unlikely than a draw in WA-QLD is, of course, Vic winning from here). A smaller target and they might have been more inclined to go for it from here.

If Tassie aren't good enough to take the wickets, so be it. But I would love a result in the QLD v WA game just to say a big eff you to the Vics for seemingly not even having a crack, even at 5 down.

WA aren't going to win. Hopefully they shut up shop and play for the draw.

Victoria need 7 an over now. The next three bats are capable of getting that RR.

well i ruined the posts i just made via a edit of a post i didn't mean to edit, but yeah you were never a chance of chasing this down after White's wicket. you might have been a chance if that stand lasted til the last 10 overs and you had to get 80. Now though you basically have to go for the draw because that's a very very very small chance.....

I be very suprised if the WA and QLD ends in a draw both sides need a win, I know WA lost some early wickets but no point in them blocking it out, Either they will get the runs or they will get bowled out trying.

They have a terribly small chance of making the final if they fight to a draw, which is better than no chance, and they've got no chance of chasing this down from here (or indeed from white's wicket).

Well that was up to them I guess, but they realistically had no chance of making it if they didn't chase and the target if they batted very well was gettable, not easy but it should not have been, but not impossible. They shut up shop too early considering David Hussey was at the wicket.
