Some of the Australia's best come face to face here at the MCG, should be a cracking game.

Great to have the Shield back at the G, uni will be tough to get to with this going on down the road....

Tas generally have a pretty decent record against full strength state sides.

Would liked to have been fixtured to face the Vics at a time they were down Siddle and Pattinson though, that's for sure.

Will be a good work out for Cowan and Ponting.

I'll head down to see this game... 2 very high quality sides. I'd play safe with Ducky, you have Maxwell, Dussey and White to provide spin.

Rogers
McDonald
Quiney
Hussey
White
Maxwell
Wade
Hastings
Siddle
Pattinson
McKay

For Tassie, I'd drop Maher, go the spin twins as they have Cozzy as a good part time seamer.

Cowan
Cosgrove
Doolan
Ponting
Bailey (I was thinking Clarke as a natural reaction haha)
Paine
Faulkner
Butterworth
Krejza
Doherty
Bird

Holland to miss out I imagine, stiff for him but such is life with a full-strength team available. Mouth-watering stuff!

Handscomb also stiff to miss after tonning up (111) for St Kilda yesterday.

Tassie squad can also play.

Might have to wander down at some point this week.... reckon I can find time before uni on Wednesday!

I wonder if a new head curator will change the pitch much?
He was the apprentice of the old one, right? Wouldn't change it too much if that's the case

Will be an interesting game too see who's fast bowlers are better.

Bird, Butterworth and Faulkner are all in form, up against four test quality bowlers from Victoria.

Slightly peeved that Cricket Australia are forcing us to play Holland, who I don't really rate.

There's talent in that trio, but there's no doubt that every quick in Victoria's squad for tomorrow would get a game at Tasmania.

This is where I lost respect for you. Holland is a solid spinner at worst. At best he's a very talented wicket taker at First Class level
