Should the AFL let Essendon fold?

They might have gotten worse if they were actually successful with their cheating. At least Carlton actually won a flag when they cheated.

Irrelevent. Its the act of cheating rather than the result itself which is important.

Also worth raising that Carlton were never found to have cheated in a premiership year (1995) unlike Essendon who dodged the cap in 1993.

That 1993 flag has a massive asterisk...

Fair enough. However who's to say that Carlton wasn't cheating that year but just didn't get caught? They too got done for cheating the cap in 1993. And again in 1999.

And it should be remembered that after 2000 (Essendon premiership year) they had to get rid of x amount of players to fit under the cap. Hardwick, Caracella, etc etc.

they still have more flags then you

Hawthorn should be the ones that fold, they aren't even big 4 and can barely get attendance figures to their games :$

Lol Richmond have less flags than Hawthorn. Heck even Fitzroy probably have more flags

Tommy Hafey aside (and you shat the bed in Tommy's game) Richmond has been a haven for losers for more than 130 years. That includes Jack Dyer who never really succeeded at anything :)

Couldnt even win Pahran for the reds back in the day :(

In fact its somewhat heartening that the Richmond constituency is mostly welfate dodgers, the deranged, destitutes and Franga pizza delivery boys...the Richmond 'loveable losers' tag fits the membership like a glove :)

lel desperate deflection attempt noted and derailment of your own thread, but let's not go down that path for the 200 zillionth time because it always ends badly for you

this about Hawthorn not being big 4 and being the ones should fold, yes Essendon are shit cakes at the moment but the competition is still better with them in it then the piss and poo

Makes even bean counting boring.

shut up super mod flog :$

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Bahahaha $30m

I think the Herald Sun went to the Laphroaig school of accounting
I'd estimate that Essendon are in the hole for around $10 million, conceivably much more so far from this saga - some quick conservative figures:

$2m - AFL fine
$750K - Albert's European Vacation
$1m - Weapon payments
$750K - Albert termination
$2m - Federal court (legal fees + ASADA legal costs)
$500K - PR consultants
$1m - other legal fees
$600K - doping aka supplements program
$????? - brand reputation, lost sponsorship opportunities etc - would have to top $1m

And the one that will dwarf this
$????? - defending/settling future action

Cool.

So did Jack Dyer suceed at anything? Why did Richmond shit the bed against the GoDees! In the Tommy Hafey memorable game lol. Do you think the Richmond FC collected disgraced the legacy of Tom Hafey that day???

As for Essendon...they are ****ed. I dont think it should be up to the heavy lifters (namely 1. Hawthorn, 2. West Coast snd 3. Collingwood) to prop them up. What do you think little destitute Tiger?

Nice creative accounting, alternatively you can just look at our annual report and see the real numbers. BF types don't seem big on that.

That right there is the key point. Scary times ahead for the EFC.

Clubs that will fold before us. Buy them down at the Salvo Club

Richmond
Dees
Aints
Western Faildogs
Carlton Cheaters
Handbaggers
West Horsham x 2
Druggoes in the West Chris Mainwarring says hi!
Anyone norf of the Murray

Should I be nice and go to the funerals???? Dunno.

You know those times when your lout of a mate is drunkenly thrusting his **** all over the place and you want to say "not my mate" and disown him?

For me, this is not one of those times.

We sure he's actually a 'mate' in this case? Strikes me as an elias troll.

There needs to useless teams in the AFL with talks of folding to keep the pressure off the other teams. Melbourne have been as useful as Anne Frank's drum set for the last 10 years and it’s now Essendon’s turn.

Thanks in advance Dons. For the good of the AFL :thumbsu:

hahaha, Ann Franks drum set. Adding that to my repertoire. Gold.
