Enjoyed this a fair bit.

Probably starts with the production design, just looked and felt the part and that went a fair way. Will never say no to Rebecca Ferguson either.

The usual level of avoiding any deep interrogation into the plot mechanics. Keen enough to see where it goes though weary of the show expanding too much.

Shows like this are doomed to fail. It should really only run 1 season before the big reveal happens. The problem is if it gets popular they will string it out to 3-4 seasons and the plot will get lost. Just like the all time series that lost its way...'Lost'.

Did you watch every episode of Lost to the finale?

It's good. Aging up the main character from the book from teens to 30s was a very good decision.
Wait she was chief engineer and then became the sheriff as a teen?

although her obsession with solely focussing on what happened to her boyfriend rather then doing her actual job did speak of a teenagers sentimentality.

Reading book 1 which is very different to the show in that it shows a bit more about how the Silo's came to be, whilst jumping around timelines also. Will be interesting to see if season 2 shows more of book 1.

Enjoyed the series and decided to get the book trilogy on kindle.
Season 1 apparently covers the first 30 (out of 82) chapters of the first book "Wool".
Should keep me busy for a while before season 2 eventually appears.

Well S1 was only the first half of the first book, so think that's a safe bet. :p

I don't recall book one having many flashbacks though? The show definitely had more flashbacks than the book.

She was a teenager in the book?? Didn't pick up on that at all..

Pretty good start to season 2. Some world building, flashbacks, suspense, a bit of engineering.

It's shot very dark so try to watch it in a low light environment.

Kind of reminded me of FPS games that feature long periods of empty, dark labyrinths with no signs of life such Half Life 2 and Portal 2.

Zahn continues to bring the goods.

Also I've come to realise that I'm only watching this show for Rebecca Ferguson, my lord is she enigmatic.
I could watch her construct IKEA furniture all day and not complain.
Yep Beccy has the goods.

I like the show still (it's not outstanding though) but I'm wondering where it is going.

All I say is that it's giving me the feeling that these silos have been around a lot longer than we think.

At least it's based on a series of books (which I haven't read) so it probably is going somewhere, just very slowly.
I don't think they even covered much more than half of the first book yet.

I do kind of miss the "good old days" where a TV show would have 20 episodes a season.
Now it's 8 episodes and 18 months between seasons, or even worse a "mid-season break"🤮

It feels like we could have 12 seasons and not know what's really going on. But I had a sneaky look on Wikipedia and it says they were looking to shoot seasons 3 and 4 back-to-back, which would be the end of it. Phew!

Classic midseason filler episode this week, unfortunately all too predictable formula with these "mystery box" type shows.
These kind of shows just need to have all episodes dumped at once
after a few minutes I said to my wife i bet we don't see Juliette until the last two minutes, boy was I annoyingly smug afterwards
